This review is mostly a reflection of the seller. I ordered the Berkey Light with 4 black filters but only received 2 of the 4 black filters. I called amazon and was told to contact the seller. I called the seller and she blamed amazon for the mistake. Apparently, the only way to get the 2 black filters I paid for is to package up the entire berkey system and return it all and then re-buy it again. They refuse to just send the additional filters.As far as the filter goes ... the functionality is great and the water taste really good. My only complaint is that I did notice (since I only had two filters) that there are two holes that need to get plugged up (they include two black plugs). Because the filter is clear I could see that BOTH THE PLUGS WERE LETTING WATER THROUGH. The drip was pretty slow but still a drop every 30 seconds even after I emptied and re-tightened the plug as hard as I could. It might not be a problem with the metal berkeys but it definitely was with the plastic. I couldn't see any leak on the holes with the filters so having all 4 filters should take care of that problem.

This counter top filtration system is so convenient and the water tastes great, I absolutely love it! And no more trips to the water store!! I certainly won't miss that.Update: It has a small hole/drip somewhere at the base and I've only had it for 8 months. It is hardly ever moved from the spot on my kitchen counter so I think it might be a stress fracture. We don't handle it aggressively either. Just very disappointed now.

I am very happy with this water filter. I bought the one with the 4 filters so that we're covered if the filters become hard to find. The water is great but our water is great tasting anyway as the city water comes from local underground springs. Our family camps frequently and we like the freedom of having clean water no matter where we go. One good thing my hubby realized: the calcium and lime are removed so this should help the coffee maker and steam iron! This container fits right beside our sink in our kitchen. It's very light but still sturdy. It's not top heavy. I was nervous about that at first but now am not concerned. It's stable as it sits in a corner by the window and cabinet. It's up high enough that cups can fit under it but tall glasses can't. I can see that the faucet could be a problem if mishandled by young children but sturdy enough for older children and of course, adults.In addition: Still very glad we got it. My husband just said what a good investment! I bought an 8 pack of very strong 12 oz. water bottles, drank the water and now use the bottles with this water. It's very convenient. We fill the bottles, stash in the fridge and are finding we drink a lot more water than ever before! Incidentally, I'm very glad we got the plastic as we can see the water level.

The water container sections are made cheaply, but we actually would have looked past that had it not broken within 6 months of us getting it and putting it to use. All told, we spent approximately $500 on their products. The bottom portion of the water container developed a crack. We reached out to the seller 4 separate times to see if we could replace the bottom container. I left a cell phone number for them each time to get back to me. We just wanted to know how to get a replacement container. It's cheap plastic (like your typical water cooler jug). Have they responded - NO! Not once.I would not recommend buying from these sellers or even this company since there are comparable products on the market now for less money, and this seller apparently cares nothing about taking care of its customers.
