Catskill Craftsmen Butcher Block Cart with Flat Doors

This is a decent little table/ cart. The top is not something I would consider a "butcher block" ay .5" thick. It has a ton of parts you have to put together. It looks good and serves its purpose but I ended up buying a mu h nicer larger cutting board to put on the top. The only reason I paid this amount is that it was all I could find that met the dimensions I needed.

This cabinet is beautiful. It’s all beautiful wood, including the back. There were a couple of minor problems, but the customer service was outstanding. It’s heavy but the casters make it easy to move. I am going to store my ninja foodi on top, and accessories and other small appliances inside thereby saving valuable counter space in my micro mini kitchen. I can just roll it into the kitchen when I need to use the foodi. Looks really good in my dining room. I highly recommend this product and the Catskill Craftsmen company.

In some ways, when compared to traditional pieces of comes-in-a-box furniture, this is really nice. The butcher block top is, unsurprisingly, pretty nice (Catskill makes butcher blocks, too). A lot of the wood used seemed to be solid instead of particle board. Its nice to look at.On the downside, the instructions were not great. There were a couple of things that made me scratch my head and ask, "Really?" For instance the doors don't have real hinge hardware -- instead the door sits on a washer, and pivots on a dowel. LIkewise a lot of the wood joinery is done with just bolts and nuts -- with, IMO, a less-than-ideal amount of softwood that the nut pushes against. The "how to join two pieces of wood at 90 degrees". Having said that, it seems sturdy enough for now.

I am very pleased with this kitchen cart. For the price, it's made of sturdy, real wood and when assemble is quite handsome. The assembly was a little tricky, but I'm not the handiest person and I still managed to put it together, it just took far longer than I would have liked. But it has been great and was exactly what I needed to add extra counter and storage space to my kitchen. I'm certain I'll hold on to this piece for a while and get a lot of use out of it. The wheels are great too since it makes it easy to clean under and move around as needed. One note about assembly; even following the instructions, I could not get the front of the drawer to stay on tightly- the bolts they give you don't lock well and every time I would pull the drawer open it would start to get loose. It was annoying, but I fixed it with some wood glue and it has been no trouble at all. All in all, a great purchase and and totally worth the price.

This is a great cart for the money, and made in USA which makes it that much more of a bargain. I found it easy to put together - took about an hour. The towel bar can be located on either side, but you have to decide when you're putting it together. I have a small apartment so it's a good size cart; I considered getting the next larger one but am happy with what I got. The top isn't real butcher block, ie end grain, but that type of construction isn't possible without a much thicker top and subsequently a much higher price. I treated mine with a few coats of drug store mineral oil and it is perfectly suitable for cutting, not that I've done that yet. The drawer isn't very deep but it holds all of my knives and a few other gadgets as well. I have a tiny kitchen with limited storage and counter space so this is a great solution. The cabinet fits a couple larger pots and/or baking dishes. The doors close nicely and evenly, unlike the cheap-feeling imported crap sold at Walmart or wherever else.High quality and made in USA! Love this cart! We removed an old and crappy L-shaped lazy susan and put this in its place. The cart is well made and sturdy. It is actual wood. It came with all the necessary fasteners. The directions seemed a little overwhelming at first, but I stuck with it and had it together in about an hour. I work at the hardware store so I used the wood oil for cutting boards that we sell here, and wow did that just make all the difference. I did the entire cabinet like the directions said. It darkened it up some, but in a good way. I did it again a week later, it looks even better. The photo is after I oiled it once. Overall, we are super happy with this cart.

I love this butcher block cart. It is made very well and all the pieces fit together perfectly. Excellent quality materials. I used it for a year in a small apartment I was living in at the time. It was perfect for that space but now I am in a larger home and need I bigger one. I will definitely buy a larger Catskill butcher block for my larger kitchen.My new home has beautiful hardwood floors and the casters that come with this butcher block roll very easily and do not mark up the floor.I saw a much larger Catskill butcher block at a local kitchen gadget store that sold for lots more than Amazon. With free shipping through Amazon you can't go wrong. I also got the oil to protect it.

I am very happy that I purchased this cart. Much nicer quality than the particle board stuff. Excellent value for the price. It is very sturdy, not wobbly at all, and the casters roll (and lock) nicely. Nice looking, too. As mentioned in some of the reviews the drawer front is a little loose, but it has not come off. I'm sure that can be easily remedied with some shims or a little wood glue if it bothers you. Catskill Craftsmen has some helpful videos on their website if you need assistance with assembly. They also have lots of similar products to choose from. This one is just what I've been looking for and of course Amazon had it at the best price! I am delighted!
