The original CMI candi syrup: The complexity of the sweetness is unreal, born out of the extremely convoluted process they use to process their beet and corn sugars [long exposition removed, you are welcome]. There is no other sweetness that comes even close to it in depth of flavors. The "new" LD Carlson syrup: It is runny where the other is thick and syrupy, and it is made out of high fructose corn syrup with what tastes like a lot of artificial flavors. And the difference is not trivial; it is like comparing a microbrewed heavy octoberfest beer with an alcohol free budweiser. What makes it scammy is that they have new product pages on desertcart, where they use the images from the original CMI syrups. Then they went back and on the old product pages, where the CMI products were sold, and replaced the CMI images with the ones from their new inferior products. Seriously, folks?
