The Therapeutic Yoga Kit: Sixteen Postures for Self-Healing through Quiet Yin Awareness

I purchased this kit after registering for Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal's Therapeutic Yoga Certification training. I am a nurse and an acupuncturist with 20 years of practice experience, currently working in a hospital. This kit was an excellent reference for the very well organized, interesting, and educational training.Since my intention is to implement this practice in the clinic setting, the cards will be a good quick reference. I can scan a chart and choose the cards before the visit and curate an individualized session for each patient. I have some personal experience with yoga and was concerned about how to safely bring it to pain patients. The use of tools to support the poses will be great for patient safety.Also, we get a manual with the training, but the book will travel easier and has additional information such as adaptations for pregnant clients. There is also an excellent comparative chart combining the language of yoga/Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. I have not listened to the CD (no working player right now) but the book and cards are well worth the purchase.Thank you, Cheri, for creating such an accessible program and resource.

Precis et concis

Having recently discovered therapeutic or restorative yoga, this is a very good introduction. Simple, with key postures, suggestions for adaptation and the cards with real people doing the postures are very helpful. I think you need to have a teacher, ideally, but this is very good home kit, which does excatly what it says on the box. I haven't listened to the CD, I must confess.
