Well, I really enjoyed this. Abused wife. Sexy inmate. Twist. Aholes and revenge. Shes a friggin fighter and I love that about her. Only downfall with this…. it wasn’t longer. 😂 Us readers are never happy. I would of loved Danny to suffer more. I’d love to see more of them and their time together. The smutt wasn’t ott, but reflected them well enough. Well written and an easy read. Started & finished today. I couldn’t put it down.

He’s asking for it, and I submit to it freely.” First things first, Nicole Blanchard is a B E A U T I F U L writer. Seriously, some of the lines that she wrote were some of the most beautiful, imaginative words that I have ever read. The images that she created in my mind were so detailed that I felt that I was literally in the story, and it can be incredibly rare to find someone with that kind of talent. 👏🏼 The spicy scenes alone were so well written that it would take me a minute to realise what was actually happening. 😳 Next, GRACIN KINGSLEY. Aghhh this man has my H E A R T. I loved him, then i hated him, then i loved him some more. But ultimately, he reeled me in, heart first, just like he did to Tessa. The way that he cares about Tessa, how gentle + soft he is with her🥺 He literally embodies “alpha male” but with Tessa he just becomes a giant, sweet ball of adoration🥹 Gracin will fight to the death for Tessa and that alone makes my heart THROB in my chest. 🥰 And Tessa! Man, that woman embodies “girl power”! How strong, how brave, how determined! Everything that she went through and overcame, yet she is still standing and fighting with her head held tall. This story gave me Harley Quinn and The Joker vibes- crazy, tortured, wild, and pain. And as hard as it could be to read at times, it was such a fantastic story that I just couldn’t stop. So here I am, at 2 in the morning, with a toddler that will certainly wake up in 4 hours, telling you to go and read this. NOW.

Trigger warning: Domestic abuse and other experiences people may find upsetting To start,the spice in this book was good! Realistic, not over the top, hot, dominant, and desperate. It was well written, not over the top. I almost wanted a bit more, but perhaps I'm being greedy. The male character, Gracin, I liked him. He was dark, dominant, mysterious. Again. Not too over the top. A self-confidence that didn't spill out too much. The female character, now. To make a point when I say this was a good book but not too memorable...I can't remember the female characters name! Her character goes through a lot!, and compared to others, is written incredibly well, but clearly I haven't gelled with this character. The story is good. It may be very upsetting for some. There was a point maybe 70-80% of the way through where I started skim reading a little bit. Some internal character thoughts going on a little too long, but I did enjoy reading it. I'd recommend as a light/fast read, but, I wouldn't say it's going to stick in your brain.

Omg I love this book with my heart definitely would buy again

This is my first book by this author and I can promise you it won't be the last! After the lovely Gena's review, I knew I would devour this book and by gosh did I. Did someone say red flags?! Cause this book is drowning in them. Please read the trigger warnings. This is a dark and truly toxic romance... hold on tight. Our two leads are Tessa and Gracin, they meet in I guess when they both need each other the most but under circumstances that definitely can't be considered a meet cute.. Tessa is in an abusive relationship with her husband, we witness a lot of stuff that no one should ever have to go through and unfortunately, Tessa takes it. This has been the dynamic for her whole life, so why should her adult life be any different. She works with her husband close by too, so there is generally nowhere she can escape to. So when she meets a s3xy prisoner who shows her interest from the very beginning she is closed off and tries to ignore it knowing no good can come from this. Gracin the mysterious, handsome inmate... he knows what is happening to Tessa, he's seen the signs before and trys to get her to open up to him, he trys to get her to see she deserves better. However he isn't exactly a stand-up citizen himself, he is by far more dangerous, he unalives for a living and didn't have an easy childhood at all.. how do you think he knows the signs. Tessa trys to resist Gracin but he is having none of it. He needs her in more ways than she knows but hell she is about to. Cause one night he escapes and all hell breaks lose, if you looked up Chaos in the dictionary there would be a big old photo of Gracin.. People get unalived, Gracin is unstoppable, Tessa well is she free or even more captured than before... Is he a better man? Heck no! Did I love him anyways.. you know it. Did I love seeing Tessa become a bad@ss? Heck yea I did! Do I question my mental sanity when I love these books so much? 🤷🏻‍♀️ who's got the time for that haha. Did I find it a bit short and totally want more cause I'm a greedy reader - you can bet your last buck I did! I'm done now cause I don't want to give this book away..

It was absolutely captivating, twisted love, fierce, eye opening to someone finding their new trueself, and brutal. In some cases, you have people along the way to help you save yourself, but in all honesty, you have to be the one to save yourself from your greatest fears. The woman in this book did just simply that. She gathered strength from an individual who was feeding her the strength to take control of herself and to get her life back. This book had my emotions from angry to hurt and from hurt to in love. It was absolutely beautifully written and had my attention, and I craved for more (staying up late at night). This book is defintely dark. You should read the TWs first, cause there is a lot of bad things happening to the FMC. It's spicy, dark and our heroine Tessa is able to transform into a badass. I don't understand the bad reviews here. This is one of my favourite dark romance books I've ever read. And I read a lot. This is not an arc review. I bought this book.

Un Dark Romance espectacular, la trama , todo, me gustó.

This book is incredible. I read the whole thing in 5hrs. I couldn’t put it down. The plot was good, the writing was good, the spice was good. I love the characters and their bond. I don’t want to give too much away but trust me, buy this book. It’s so so good.

Love the story, the tension the run and the danger the fmc.. the sorrow she Goes through from het past and present. Bookshelf worthy
