LG GP50NB40 Portable Slim USB 2.0 DVD Writer - Black

I use this with my Mac Mini to transfer any CD's I buy onto itunes and its been working flawlessly for 3 years now. All I had to do was plug it into the Mac and it was recognized straight away, it reads CD's very quickly and hasn't missed a beat.Its very neat and compact and matches the Apple aesthetic nicely.Please click the helpful button below if you found my review in any way useful.

Works fine, reads most DVDs, lightweight, smart, fast. A little noisy, but nothing to complain about.

I ordered this on Tuesday and it arrived yesterday morning (thanks to Amazon Prime). I didn't have chance to test it yesterday but this morning I have plugged it in and it worked first go. No problems whatsoever and copies at a good rate. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to just Plug and Play as you don't have to download drivers or use the CD that came in the box. It is very simple to setup and run.

Noisy and slow.

It was quite hard to pick which CD/DVD player to go with, but I was so glad I went with LG's player.It does what I need it to do, play DVDs/CDs, I can rip music and copy files.It is quiet when running, it looks stylish and is really good, quality, sturdy product.I am very happy with my purchase :-)

Works fine with my MacBook. Simple plug and play device and the colour/case compliments the look of the Apple products.It's a bit slow in copying, but then that should be expected with just the x8 speed

This worked well, until it didn't... which was just past the 12 months and therefore out of guarantee. I didn't even use it very often. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Has worked fine for me. Quite light and has a plasticy feel, so I operate it with care, but no problems so far.
