Great add-on macro lens for phones.
This detachable phone camera lens package comes with a 75mm macro lens, a carrying case, a lens clip-on, and a cleaning cloth. All accessories can be packed and stored in the carrying case. Sometimes my iPhone's built-in camera isn't capable of shooting detailed photos and blurring the background of close-up objects from a distance. While I might be able to use my iPhone's software to edit and give photos an artificial look, I sometimes prefer the add-on clip-on lens for a photo shoot. The additional lens can shoot photos that have a much more shallow depth of field, which makes the photos look nice without the need for much adjusting or editing. The lens feels lightweight yet solid and durable, with an aluminum outer housing. It’s very simple to put the macro lens on my phone and can easily adjust and fit on to the main camera with the lens clip-on. The lens clip had a 17mm which makes it very easy to switch different lens, which makes the lens clip very versatile. Overall, I like to take this detachable phone camera lens kit with me when I travel. This lens is differently makes money for the value. I wish this camera lens kit comes another additional lens like the 400mm Telephoto lens in one package instead of buying extra kit.

Good for the money!
Good, the only negative is that you get flare marks on the pictures from the sun. No threads for a sun shade or filter. For the price is good.

Helps
It works. Not as dramatic as I expected. Doesn't have a fish bowl look with a wider angle

Not useful
No better than just using the 2x digital zoom on your phone. 2 stars because the quality of the carrying case and of the lens is good.

Seemingly cool lens if my iPhone would cooperate
I was really excited to get this lens in the mail, especially with a concert coming up. I loved that it came with its own case, lens cover, and all the protective bits, it feels like real camera gear, not just a phone gadget. Here’s the thing though: I own a mirrorless camera, I know my way around lenses, and yet… my iPhone 17 insists on outsmarting me. The second I clip this lens on, my phone frustratingly flips to another camera. I’ve tried messing with camera settings, adjusted the focal range to 1.1x like the instructions say, and still, it’s like my iPhone hates me. Possibly (and likely) user error, but I’ll blame something else until I figure it out. When I did get it to work, it was neat, no weird distortion like the .5 wide-angle lens on the phone. Personally, I loved that. My teens, however, would hate it. They live for their distorted .5 selfies and did not appreciate my “proper” wide-angle shots. Sorry, kids. I’m determined to make this work, maybe with NEEWER’s case? I will try that and screw it directly in and will update once I hopefully outsmart my phone.

My first iPhone macro lens and I am not disappointed
I use several lenses for my iPhone photography but this is my first macro lens. It works really well when you follow the setup instructions and understand how macro photography works! The image quality is impressive and the versatility of the standard threaded mount (17mm) works with my phone cage and other lens adapters perfectly. The portable travel case is a nice accessory to the lens and it even came with a cleaning cloth. It’s focal range take getting used to as the depth of focus is narrow, but that’s the case with any lens of this type. Overall I find this lens to be easy to use and the results look great. I’m happy with this item.

Solid Wide Angle Lens, but Not a Perfect Fit for Pixel 8
This Neewer 18mm wide angle lens looks impressive right out of the box. It’s packaged well, comes with its protective caps, and the build quality feels surprisingly sturdy for an add-on phone lens. The glass elements are clear, and the clip is strong enough to stay put without feeling like it’s going to slip off during use. Specs-wise, it promises a lot: a 100° field of view, 0.75X magnification, and a six-element construction that’s supposed to deliver sharper shots. I really wanted to love this product because it looks quality, the case is quality everything about it looks quality but for some reason it just won't give me that perfect view. I picked this up for my Google Pixel 8, which is listed as being compatible, and it definitely does expand the scene. You notice the difference right away when you’re shooting landscapes, group shots, or interiors where you want more in the frame. The effect itself works as advertised, and the lens does feel like it was built with care. Where things got tricky was in the design of the lens housing. It has a fairly deep well, and that becomes an issue with the Pixel 8’s camera layout. When clipped on, the lens doesn’t fully cover the Pixel’s built-in lens the way I expected. Instead of a clean wide shot, the outer rim of the attachment shows up in the corners of the photos. It’s almost like a vignette effect, except it isn’t intentional and ends up being something you’d have to crop out if you wanted a usable shot. That was the biggest surprise and a little disappointing, because I assumed the lens would sit flush over the Pixel camera and avoid that problem. That aside, the picture quality through the lens is decent. The center of the image stays fairly sharp, though there is some softening around the edges, which is common with clip-on wide angles in this range. Distortion isn’t too severe, and for casual photography or video, it does its job. The clip mechanism is simple enough and feels durable, though lining it up perfectly takes some trial and error every time. For a budget-friendly add-on lens, this one gets points for build quality and the fact that it actually does widen the view. But with the Pixel 8, that deep housing design makes it less seamless than I hoped. You can make it work with some effort, but it’s not the fully plug-and-play solution I was expecting. It’s a solid lens, just not a perfect fit for every phone model, even ones it claims compatibility with.
