The content of the book is very good..but it arrived in a bad condition..edges torn.

We are a homeschool family and love the Brain Quest books as a supplement to use with our currículum. During summers we use BrainQuest books as a summer bridge course. It covers educational standards necessary for the school year. And helps our family stay on top and not forget all they’ve learned throughout the year. They enjoy the Brainquest cards and I’ve usually bought the BrainQuest and cards as a package. Didn’t realize it’s sold separately so we were sad to find that only the book arrived. But nonetheless, it’s a great educational resource.(Since, my kid is not yet proficient in spelling I am loving that this workbook includes the spelling vocabulary, LA, reading, and writing. Other books usually lack the spelling and vocabulary section and we’ve had to buy an additional spelling book for the summer.)This Grade 5 (ages 10-11) workbook includes the following subjects which are also sorted by different colors:Spelling and vocabularyLanguage artsReadingWritingMath skillsMultiplication and divisionFractions and decimalsGeometry and measurementsProbability and dataAlgebraWord problemsSocial studiesScienceTechnologyAnswer keyBrain quest extras: mini deck that you or student can cut out. Good work book for kids, it covers all subjects, language, maths , science, social science.. Best way to keep the child busy. The thing what I didn’t like about it is,as it is an American book , social science part is all about America which is not of much help to my kid as we are in germany.

These are great workbooks for kids. Bought this one for the summer to keep learned Grade 5 skills up to date. We purchased the Grade 4 book for last summer and the teacher asked what our daughter had been doing over the summer as she had not only not lost any skills, in fact, she had learned new ones as a result of the work she did over those weeks.The one draw back that I noted more in this book than in the Grade 4 book, was the high amount of US social studies and geography and history pieces. Would love to see a Canadian version.
