Smoothing Lotion

I’ve tried many products, but Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion has become my absolute must-have before any hair styling. I apply it to damp hair, and it transforms the entire process. This lotion is incredibly effective at controlling frizz while beautifully enhancing curl definition without making my curls crunchy or weighed down. It works wonderfully on my fine-to-medium thickness hair that tends to be dry and frizzy. Even though my hair is on the finer side, it never feels greasy or flat — instead, it adds lightweight nourishment that improves overall hair condition. The appearance of my hair after styling is noticeably better: smoother, shinier, and healthier-looking with a natural bounce. Whether I’m air-drying for defined curls or blow-drying for a sleek straight style, this lotion delivers consistent, impressive results every single time. A little goes a long way, the subtle scent is pleasant, and it has made my daily styling routine so much easier. If you have frizzy, dry, or unruly hair , regardless of thickness or curl pattern, this is the best pre-styling product I’ve ever used. Highly recommend!

I just used this for the first time. I have Caucasian hair, the length is halfway down my back. Since it turned gray and white in some areas, it has thinned and gotten wavy. Since moving to FL, it can get frizzy. I normally use Arvazallia Argan oil and it works great. My hairdresser used some type of serum on my hair and I decided to buy this product to try a serum. It came out just like the hairdresser did when she blow dried it. Only I let it air dry completely and then I flat ironed it. I love the way it looks and feels. The fragrance is subtle, and I am very sensitive to fragrances. I only used a pea size amount of this on my ends. Then whatever little amount was still on my hands, I then ran my hands through the rest of my damp hair.. I think if you apply a lot of product you will probably get a strong fragrance. But since I only used a pea size amount, I didn’t get much fragrance, in fact it’s a pleasant scent. But that’s just my opinion.

Works well to control frizz and keep hair styled without feeling sticky or greasy, nice fragrance, too. I have used this product in the past and this is in a more convenient sized tube for travel. Worth the money for my use.

I have been using these products for years and I absolutely love them. I live in Florida and the humidity is a constant battle. These products are a big help in dealing with the frizz. My only complaint is that their pump containers totally suck. I don't care how many times you turn that pump top, you will NEVER be able to use it most of the time. I have used entire 34 ounce containers of product by removing the top each time because the pump NEVER works. I now have three pumps that work after about 6 years and I just keep refilling them.

I have over processed hair-this smoothing lotion leaves a very light weight conditioning, which is GREAT! No frizzies, the fragrance is wonderful and oh my…..the SHINE!! My husband even uses it on his beard!! A little goes a long way! So great value!

Love this lotions - works great to keep the frizz out of my hair. And lasts a long time. This travel size will probably last a year or more.

I have used the Moroccanoil hair oil for almost two decades. It has been a staple in my hair care regimen. So, I was anxious to try the smoothing cream to tame & eliminate frizz after trying every possible product on the market from expensive to drugstore prices. That said, I did not have any expectations for this cream because nothing has worked to date! I don't know what number my hair is, but basically at humidity levels above 50%, my hair becomes an afro & a rats nest! My hair does not bode well in humid climates so, I continually struggle to keep it manageable despite hair oils, deep conditioning, supplements, various hair products & styling methodologies. Even after a blowout, my hair becomes unruly within seconds of exposure to moisture & humidity! At first application, the smoothing cream feels light like a leave-in conditioner. But, after I applied two pea-sized dollops throughout the hair, I felt the argan oil so, I was concerned that my fine hair was going to be too greasy & weighed down. Well lo and behold, after blow drying & using the Revlon blowdry brush, the heat activated the cream & my hair was frizz-free, soft, fluid & free-flowing akin to that of a salon! Moreso, it remained frizz-free even after exposure to humidity! I was in shock! In that moment, I said to myself: "That's why it's expensive! Because it actually works!" I bought the small size as a test but now that I know this smoothing cream works, it will be another staple in my hair care regimen! It seems that my hair does well with Moroccanoil products!! I found that the cream did not have the quintessential Moroccan oil scent that I love. I'm not sure if it's this product in general, or maybe just this batch. Regardless, the smell is rather light & appeasing. I also love that their products are cruelty-free! There is no question that their products are expensive. That said, a little goes a very long way, which extends life expectancy. As an example, the hair oil lasts almost 2 years with weekly use. I reckon this cream will last a year at a minimum.
