I add buttermilk instead of water and 1 egg. I also bake it in a iron skillet in a preheated oven at 425° until golden brown. I put 2 tablespoons bacon drippings in skillet and place it in oven while preheating oven . I like my skillet sizzling when I pour my batter in.
