No, they do not bend, so far. They are VERY sharp!!! **Q: 14.6 is that the height of the block with or with out the knives in it, my current knife set is 14 high with the knives in it** A: Counter to top of tallest knife handle is 13.25 inches **Q: is it forged ?** A: The set of 14 appear to be stamped rather than forged. While all sets appear to have a full tang, only the ones with a bolster will be forged. The chef’s knife, from the set of 14, is thinner towards the edge of blade which makes for easier slicing. It has everything I need for daily cooking, from chopping veggies to slicing meat. The knives came sharp right out of the box and the included sharpener is a nice bonus to keep them that way. They feel solid in hand without being too heavy, and the handles are comfortable even when prepping a lot of food. The block also looks clean on the counter and keeps everything organized. For the price, this set is a great deal.
