SCS Ocean Spray Craisins - 48 oz. bag

I purchased this 48 oz bag of Ocean Spray Craisins Original Dried Cranberries to test in a rustic cranberry walnut bread recipe for our farmstand, and the results were absolutely outstanding! The bread turned out beautifully, and these cranberries added wonderful little bursts of sweet, slightly tart flavor throughout. I actually think I’ll add a few more cranberries to my next batch because they were that delicious! This bread will definitely be joining our farmstand lineup! The cranberries have just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering, and the texture is wonderful. They’re soft, pleasantly chewy, and moist rather than hard or overly dried out. I also appreciate their rich cranberry color and the nice-sized pieces, which distribute beautifully throughout homemade baked goods. The 48 oz bag is a generous size, especially for someone like me who does quite a bit of baking. Another nice feature is that the package includes recipes for broccoli salad and oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies, along with additional serving suggestions. I absolutely love homemade broccoli salad and typically make mine with golden raisins, but after tasting these, I’m planning to try Craisins instead! I think their sweet-tart flavor would be delicious with the broccoli, bacon, cheese, and creamy dressing. A few helpful things to know: * Taste: A lovely balance of sweet and tart, without being overwhelmingly sweet. * Texture and chewiness: Soft, moist, and pleasantly chewy, making them enjoyable straight from the bag or in baked goods. * Size: Generous 48 oz package (3 pounds), especially convenient for frequent baking. * Sugar content: These are sweetened dried cranberries, not unsweetened, so keep that in mind when adjusting sugar in recipes. * Aroma: Pleasant cranberry aroma. * Versatility: Wonderful for homemade breads, muffins, cookies, oatmeal, granola, trail mixes, and salads. * Ingredients: The package lists cranberries and sugar, with refined sunflower oil used as a processing aid. No artificial flavors or preservatives are advertised. One baking tip: When making cranberry walnut bread, distribute the cranberries evenly throughout the dough so every slice gets some of that delicious sweet-tart flavor. They pair especially well with the earthy flavor and crunch of walnuts! I’ve included photos of the cranberries, packaging, recipe suggestions, and a slice of my homemade rustic cranberry walnut bread so you can see how beautifully they work in baking. I’m extremely pleased with this purchase and would happily buy this large bag again. Whether you enjoy dried cranberries as a snack or use them regularly in your kitchen, these are a delicious and versatile pantry staple. Highly recommended!

Fresh and tasty

I have purchased this item multiple times. Whenever there is an offer, I will buy extra packets to stock up. They are fresh, nice and moist. Really good quality at a great price

Goes very well with morning cereals. Less sugar than dried raisins
