PVC backed is suitable only if the mat is not likely to get wet. Traditional Coir is suitable for all conditions, as it will dry naturally if wet due to the water being able to pass through. Since I am using for outside door, this is just an excellent choice. The PVC backing saves it from getting wet in spite of daily floor mopping.Design is eye catching.

Great mat...good look and serves the purpose. Wish the base was a little more robust to stick to the ground...but otherwise, a good buy
