Our development team took up the challenge of creating the first (and only) 100% plastic-free Sport bottle on the market and only NonToxic Certified bottle on the planet. Our 100% medical grade silicone Big Mouth sport top allows a free flow of liquids while eliminating the dreaded ice shift that often results in a soaked shirt or an embarrassing wet spot in your lap! As with all bottles in the Pura offering, our 28oz bottle is 100% plastic-free and can be used with any of our silicone lids including our nipples, spouts, straws, and flat lids. With Pura you can rest assured that you are always using the safest and most eco-progressive bottle on the market. General Instructions: Wash before first use. Boil for 5 minutes to sterilize. Remove the sleeve from the bottle at least one time per week to clean between the bottle and sleeve, more often in humid climates. Dishwasher safe. How to install sleeve: Add baking soda to the inside of a dry sleeve then slide onto the bottle. Rinse thoroughly. OR At the sink, spread a pea-sized drop of liquid dish soap inside the sleeve then slide the sleeve onto the bottle. Rinse thoroughly.

Costly though it's a normal bottle.
Very costly for normal steel material except extra silicone fitting material. I bought by mistake for such a huge cost for just 750 ml

This is the best water bottle I've ever bought
This is a review for the non insulated version since I bought the non insulated version to maximize capacity. Plus, I don't mind room temperature water if it lasts that long. Things I love:No unscrewing a lid to get to your water, nice for one handed drinking. The spout is constructed so that you can drink on a bumpy road without spilling all over yourself. Like drinking from a soft soda bottle but better. The sleeve makes it easy to get a good grip. The size is great for my hand to grasp without feeling like I might drop it.That finger loop is super handy if you've got your hands full. I wouldn't leave it hanging from this for great lengths of time but to get from your car to your house with groceries and a baby in tow it's beautiful. The steel threads feel strong and well made. I also like that your mouth piece provides the seal for the lid.Way easy to take apart and clean all the nooks and crannies.I hate huge water bottles since they don't fit in cup holders but this is perfect. And 28 oz is a decent enough capacity to last an hour or two. There are zero seams in the steel. There is zero plastic in this cup. There are zero smells that I can detect.Things I dislike or think could be better designed:I think the finger loop would be awesome if it were more like a cuff for your hand, sort of like a coffee mug but bigger and made of silicone. It might be a pain to clean but I kind of wish the silicone covered the bottom corner to help prevent drop damage. This is still very new to me so I may be unnecessarily concerned that the silicone mouthpiece might get loose and fall open or tear apart creating 2 parts. The upside is that you can buy a new one for $6.So far that's all I can think of but I have told 2 people already about how happy I am with this bottle. I have tried so many brands looking for the right thing. So. Many. Bottles. They all lacked hugely in one way or another. I have been buying life water bottles and reusing them until they look battered and worn lately. But it's not ideal to buy water bottles all the time. Plus, plastic. Yuck. Call me a happy girl and a pura convert. My toddler has been using the straw version of this cup for a while so I knew to expect good quality materials. I was not disappointed.

Great product! It never leaks and it's good to know that all the dangerous plastics are not present in this product. I was looking for something like this for a while and I was glad I could find something healthy to drink from. Great ethic, keep up the good work!

Best stainless steel / plastic free water bottle on the market!
Such a great water bottle! Doesn't leak (ever!). And I love that it contains no plastic. It is also very easy to clean. There are no areas that you can't get to with a bottle brush. Other stainless steel water bottles have plastic lids with sport top spouts that you can't fully clean. I loved this so much, that I bought one for each of my daughters to bring to school every day, the tiny bottle sized one for their lunches, and a larger one for me!

Loss of confidence in company
Was initially excited to have found a company like Pura that used quality materials in their steel and silicone and was plastic free. I also liked how the lids and accessories are interchangeable and the entire family can share the bottles. I went ahead and bought a series of their products: several bottles and various accessories. After my purchase, I had several conversations with other mom friends as we gathered in parks with our bottles. To my horror, I was introduced to the fact that Pura's Kiki bottles were concerning for lead exposure and my personal research also confirmed that this company cut corners and does not readily admit their wrong. In short, their insulated bottles, lead is used. I have an insulated sports bottle, where the lead for the vacuum seal is simply covered up with a disc. In the Kiki bottles which I also own, they are covered up with a cap on the bottom but it is definitely a matter of time when they will come off and expose my child to high levels of lead. I have several of the non-insulated bottles that only a few months into ownership, has been beaten up with countless dents on the bottom. This was expected for my 3 year old bringing it to preschool. I wish this company would be more transparent in stating that lead is used, although not immediately in contact and care should be taken to not expose it. They also did not even have a recall, which is concerning. Also, the silicone sleeves that seemed attractive is also quite bothersome in the sports bottles that come with the handles, as water gets between the sleeve and the bottle when washing. If not taken care of, the bottle rusts. So you have to diligently get that sleeve off (which is time consuming and laborsome), dry the bottle and the sleeve, then get it back on again. The caps, while completely plastic free, can be a pain to pop on and off the steel cap too. Overall, this line of products certainly seems alluring but does have a few limiting factors. The greatest disappointment for me is the company's ethics and values. Consumer safety is surely NOT their priority. I will no longer purchase and support such a company.

The best water bottle, but…
UpdateThe lid ripped off pretty quickly. It still seals, but the kid has to put extra effort not to lose it :)Switched to this bottle after a lost glass one (with a silicon sleeve). This one is a great bottle, light, no plastic, leak proof. The downside is no bottom bumper. So after ten minutes my kid dropped it and since then it’s rocking. Now I need to look for a matching bumper, as Pura does not produce bumpers this size. If there were bumpers available, the bottle would have received 5 stars
