It works great. I can also plug my iPhone in at the same time and it will import pictures from my iPhone to my iPad. Or I can plug my Apple charging cable into the camera adapter and into the USB port at the same time I’m using the internet and it charges the iPad, as well. I’ve been using this setup for a year with no issues. The usb port’s power cable recently quit working, and I can still use the usb hub to access the wired internet on my iPad, but it drains the iPad’s battery quickly. I’ve never received any notifications saying “device requires too much power” but maybe I’m using the USB port differently than other people. I’m buying this USB port again. **Q: What is the size of the barrel for the power cable on this hub?** A: A 3.5 x 1.35mm barrel jack fits into this hub. (I tried asking Tendak directly and they didn't reply.) **Q: Can you safely use the power port on the end of the unit to daisy chain two of these hubs?** A: no, the power port is only useful when you want to charge a usb device like an iphone, galaxy, etc. it doesn't allow data to pass through it - only electricity. **Q: What is the input for the adapter? would it work outside usa, where the input is about 220v?** A: If the unit is 110v - 240v then you don't need a switch, just the proper wall adapter for the country you're in. Some appliances are 110 - 120v only in which case you would also need a voltage convert along with the wall adapter otherwise you would burn out the unit.
