Tiffen is a great brand and I was happy to see this listing for a decent price. But I was hugely disappointed with the delivered product (not the delivery). The product packaging looked old. There was no seal. The filter glass had finger stains, dust and scratch. Obviously opened and possibly used. Hugely disappointed. Happy to return.

Tiffen have been making filters for a long time. Had just bought a new camera/lens (after 6 removable-lens bodies and about 20 lenses (after 3 film bodies and 8 lenses before that)) and all have had a filter in front to protect the front element. A lot of them have been Tiffen filters, as it's a name to trust. Optically clean and built tight to resist dust intrusion.

It's a decent UV filter as well as providing good lens protection.

Le filtre se monte bien sur mon objectif, et même un peu serré, il remplira bien son rôle de protège lentille et de filtre UV par la même occasion. Mon bouchon d'objectif s'accroche bien sur le filtre. Un bon achat pour moi à un prix très mesuré

I purchased this filter first to protect my camera lens. Upon receiving my new camera I waited until this filter arrived before I would take the camera off my desk and go outside or anywhere else. Buy something like this and install in front of your valuable lens. Accordingly my camera lens is still in new, pristine condition after the first year of light to moderate use.
