For the price it gives excellent sound and functionality and the pass through charging feature makes it something I would choose over higher end dacs so I can take it on the go! However, sometimes due to the horizontal shape and form factor it can be a bit awkward in places

One of its standout qualities is how effortlessly it drives sensitive IEMs while maintaining a low noise floor. For everyday portable use, it performs exactly as a compact DAC/amp should. That said, the built-in PEQ (Parametric EQ) functionality feels somewhat finicky. While it's a welcome feature on paper, adjusting EQ bands can occasionally introduce audible distortion or artifacts during the tuning process. Once configured, it generally works fine, but the user experience could be more polished. Another drawback is the lack of transparency regarding the hardware. FiiO does not disclose the specific DAC chip or amplifier implementation used in the Tiny DAC A Version, which may disappoint enthusiasts who like to know exactly what's inside their audio gear. Excellent sound quality, unlike a similar device I tried before, and charges my M3 iPad Air at the same time. No problem with fit despite the not-exactly-thin case.

I bought one of these DAC headphone devices (customer support calls it the Tiny) for my sister and based on her loving it, I purchased another for myself to use with my Samsung S6 Lite tablet. Nothing happened. No sound at all, and I tried different headphones. I went to the manufacturer website for help and found none would be available for about a week! I wrote up my problem, asked if there was a manual and driver available and waited. Eventually I received a response telling me no app was needed and no manual was available. I wrote up my problem again and sent it again and three or four days later got a response mentioning EQ Control software and asking if I'd tried it to what effect. I wrote back again and repeated the problem again and asked for links to any and all software that might help. No reply. I wrote again several days later and did get a reply, again, about three days later, this time telling me there was nothing for the Tiny I could download (what was the EQ Control app about which they previously asked?), but had I tried other tablets or devices? I don't have any other devices and I didn't want to repeat what I had done (to me meaning anything not mentioned wasn't done) yet again, especially with a three day to a week delay in replies, so I returned it and am waiting for a refund. Perhaps my device was simply a rare lemon, based on the other one working great for my sister. Trying to get help figuring that out is FAR too much trouble, however. Worst customer service ever, which I strongly suspect might be due primarily to English not being the native of language of the support staff and the minimum delay of several days to any emails. It should not take two weeks to get answers or decent help when something doesn't work, which is how long it's been since I bought my "Tiny," so I am done. I actually wish I could have left a better review...

The device is working fine after a couple of weeks of use. Its equalizer app with AutoEQ is a bit awkward to use, but seems to accomplish what it needs to do. If your headphones and charging cable aren't right-angle, I suggest getting a 90-degree adapter for both. Otherwise, it feels like it can damage your phone's USB port.

This product works really well on pc, feels great and allows you to charge your laptop while using your headphones. The sound is nice and fairly easy to customize, it's super compact and easy to take with you but if you're trying to use it for your phone atleast on IOS I cannot recommend it. It's too loud for me personally and when I lowered the volume via the slider rather than the buttons my hearing was nearly blown because it was too low or something and decided to just blast at boosted max volume.

Competent and convenient pocket DAC, and one of the first/only I'm aware of to allow for simultaneous wired charging during use. Great value as always from Fiio.

This tiny little dac really surprised me, I basically bought it just to try the USB C audio thing on my phone as a self confessed melomaniac. I'm a person that desperately misses Ipods and phones with headphone jacks, and this fits the bill excellently. Very good sound quality and the PEQ function is brilliant although very complicated on a phone screen (did it via a tablet instead). Only negative is the lack of a standard EQ function as I just tend to boost the bass a little and use everything else flat. Basically if you are curious about the portable dac thing this fits the bill as an excellent, well made and easy to carry option for very little money, very happy with it.

It does its job, I can finally use my wired headphones with my phone again, but there's a big drawback -- my phone case's thickness causes the connection to loosen with even slight movement. It is extremely annoying. I’ll either need to DIY-trim the case. Or spend money to switch to a thinner one to keep the plug secure. At fitst, it looked like a better design than the dangling wire type, but not really.

Real improvement in sound quality, for very little money. Would highly recommend.

Awesome bit of kit, sound quality and volume much improved now runs my Beyerdynamics well.
