Are raw ingredients imported?

Yes, Vital Nutrient's NAC raw material is imported from China. Nothing is more important than the quality of their supplements. They independently test each and every raw material and finished product at U.S. labs, purity and potency can be guaranteed in every capsule.

Is there a foul smell?

NAC is sulfur containing amino acid which accordingly might smell sulphurous. This is a normal condition in packaging. NAC does not contain additives that could contribute to a poor smell or that is used to mask the presence of sulfurous smells.

Just confirming this is free of shellfish?
