Gardening on Clay

Got some useful tips out of this, even tho it reads like your father in law who is a little obsessed with "for appearance sake", is telling you what you should do. Ok list of plants that work with soil but nothing you can't find online. I was hoping more for how to work with the soil and plants I've got rather than dig it all out and treat it.

A well written book and a selection advice around ground preparation, plant groups: trees, shrubs, herbaceous, annuals, climbers, roses, bulbs and corns. In addition to fruit and vegetables. Also seasonal job list in the clay garden. In each chapter a list of individual species and cultivation tips. A number of gardening tips provided on raised beds, wind protection etc.

liked it very much . had lists of suitable plants which found helpful. Could have had more info regarding improving the soil - such as details on French drains etc. Otherwise found it very good.
