First the product itself is straightforward instructions are clear and simple and the controls are easy to interpret. That in itself is a huge plus. Now for the usage. I purchased the heat gun to help remove paint from areas on my porch that no sander could reach nor could I with just using sandpaper without removing my knuckles. I started with a lower temperature and loved that the read out told me when it reached the set temperature and I was amazed at how quickly it did so. Applied the heat with the attached scraper and wow the paint that has 4 layers on top of the original 20 year old base layer came right off, it was so quick and efficient I truly was astonished. Like scrapping butter off bread. I was thrilled not to have to deal with the mess of sanding, I hate the dust!!!!!! And it was so much easier. I will seriously use this anytime I can instead of sanding! I love this heat gun, it was everything a tool is supposed to be, it made the project easier.While I was at it and marveling at the ease of use I decided to try to smooth out a chip in the composite porch swing that was extremely rough. I started at 200* and then gradually went up since I was not sure what would be the temperature to make it melt enough that I smooth it out. Ended up at 800* and it got the task accomplished the chip is now smoothed out and nothing negative happened to the rest. NOTE* I had previously tried to sand the spot but it was too rough it tore up the sand paper too much. Again efficient and effective.Next up was a bolt that had sheared off the arm of the garage door. I was told once by my father if you heat a stuck bolt up then sometimes it will help loosen it. so the part of the bolt that you are supposed to use a wrench to get it in and out was the part that sheared off and I had tried to use a wrench to get it out on the bit of the thread that was sticking out, I could not get it to budge. So I took the heat gun set it to 600* and warmed up the bolt from both sides and then tried and I was able to use a wrench to final get the bolt out!I look forward to using this heat gun in the future since it was so easy to use and effective. It is definitely very powerful and made my tasks easier and I was able to complete them faster.

I'm currently 75% or so finished doing a "resto-mod" on a '78 Vette, installing a 6.0l Chevy LS engine & transmission, trans crossmember, stainless exhaust and that requires a vehicle specific aftermarket wiring harness and countless wiring splices, copper lug ends etc I use "marine grade" top quality shrink tubing exclusively as this has a waterproof adhesive that completely seals out moisture & contamination from each & every soldered wiring splice, terminal end (copper lugs where applicable) etc as I do my absolute best to ensure years of totally trouble free operation on all wiring work I have ever performed, outside of emergency roadside repairs. I prefer using heat guns to shrink the tubing/activate the adhesive that seals out everything under the shrink tubing itself. This heat gun is quick to get to operating temperature, came with a bag of different ends to place on the gun to direct the heat to where it's needed and away from items that will be damaged or outright destroyed if heated to excess. I'm pretty confident that this heat gun will last years as it is easily the best heat gun I've used to date, and prior to becoming disabled I was a highly educated/trained automotive/truck professional. I'm still a certified master tech with every additional advanced cert to go on top of that. I don't often leave reviews as positive as this, but this heat gun has impressed me thus far and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a heat gun. Just for comparison sake, I began this job using a cheap POS from Harbor freight as the garage I'm building this in had one. My old heat gun went with the majority of equipment in my garage when I sold it. The "other" heat gun took almost 2 minutes to get up to operating temperature, felt "chintzy" in my hands and offered no way to direct the heated air to the item being heated & the highly heated air away from items that could be damaged/destroyed by being heated. You won't regret buying this heat gun.

We now have 3 of these. We rehabilitated a 1942 house, and it was the most handy tool for removing ancient, cracked paint and lots of other tasks. My brothers are keeping those 2 that still work after running all day, for days at a time. I now have a third that I use for finishing 3d printed gizmos.

This heat gun is a good deal as long as you can look past some of the marketing. The heat setting/display seems merely a gimmick and it did not match the actual temperature output for me. Set to "500F" - I measured 410-460; "600" was 450-480; "300" was ~240-270, etc. Once set, the actual temperature output wandered ~30-50 degrees. Heatup was much slower than the advertised 1.5 sec; I observed ~10-20 sec. Cool down was similarly inaccurate, slow and wandering. Overall I do like the adjustable fan although max speed seemed slightly weak. The included accessories stay attached after cooldown (unlike competing models) and overall build quality is reasonably good.I do feel it is a bit chunky so is not terribly space efficient on the bench but the stand up feature is great and it stays put. Best part is InterTek/ETL certification (similar to Underwriters Labs) which provides reasonable assurance of safe operation under varying conditions. The PRULDE N2030 Hot Air Gun is made in China.

You can adjust the temp, and the fan speed. I like the digital display. There's a cool down setting, too.It doesn't seem to flicker my lights, as this older Steinel/Craftsman heat gun of mine does. I couldn't run the Steinel on a generator; drove the generator crazy.As time matches on, this sort of consumer good gets better and cheaper. It's sometimes hard to justify continuing to use an earlier generation.

this Heat Gun has a very high quality that you can feel it as soon as you have it in your hand.I am using a De-Walt heat gun at my work and it is really high quality gun. I wanted to order one of those for home. it was too expensive for home use so I ordered this at half of the price. In my opinion it is better than De-Walt heat gun. I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend.Durability is yet to be tested. but as I mentioned before, for home it should be OK. since it is not heavily used.Only I wish it had a caring case. specially after use, it stays hot for a long time and a good protective case would prevent any nu-intentional accidents. I really recommend to the manufacturer or importer to consider a case for the next generation.Also If Temperature display has a light or display was illuminated, it was easier to read the display.I am not sure any brand has all this features. but adding these two make it one of the best heat guns in the market.

This is my second different heat gun purchased from Amazon. The first one still works and I gave that one to my dad. This one has almost the same features. If you are shopping around, you're probably wanting something flexible in features. This one has variable temp adjustment and variable speed adjustment plus a flick of the switch will put you into cooling mode. Just like my last heat gun.If you don't think variable temp and variable fan speed is important, then you owe it to yourself to see how much difference that can make.It is real fast to heat up. I haven't used any of the attachments. It is comfortable to hold.The only one feature that this heat gun lacks is the ability to lie the device on it's side. Part of it's side and part of the front heat shield will get scratched up.Otherwise a good device for me to recommend. As an aside, I have burnt myself on the nozzle. That is not the fault of the device but me being a dummy and not paying attention.

So far so good. Used on a craft project. It worked great.

Great heat gun, you can adjust the temp and the fan speed. heat up fast. I use it to bend 1-inch pvc tubbing with no problem. I recommend and would buy again if necessary.
