Great upgrade for me!
I was using iPod Shuffle to play music in my massage room. This is a huge upgrade because it holds so many more songs, the battery lasts much longer, costs less, and it does plug in to my computer speakers like the other did.FYI> Ha ha, I did have a problem because of what I did when loading: The list of songs was getting to the end of the row I saw on the screen, so I went ahead and downloaded, then downloaded more, then a couple more. Well, the only songs on it was the last 2 when I went to play the next day at work. Sooo...each time I hit download it erased the last songs on the unit which were downloaded. Not sure if there is a way around this because I don't want to have to download all the songs again if I want to add a new song???

Does the job, long battery life with quick charge
(Review by 11 y/o Nicholas, who received it for Xmas)This music player does the job I wanted it to do: Play music through headphones while walking to school, working out, and playing with legos. It has a small ring on the bottom, so string can be threaded through it for a lanyard. It is small enough to fit in my pocket, and has a battery life that would last about a week of use, 4 or 5 hours total. This machine charges very quickly: it takes 30 minutes to fully charge it. It can also play music while charging. It comes with a charging cable, so all you need is a 110-to-USB adaptor.Unfortunately, the power button can accidentally be touched lightly to turn the machine off. I usually put it into my pocket with the switch facing up, so it isn’t touched as much. No other buttons have that sort of problem, and the memory card stays in without trouble. This mp3 player has a lot of tools, and multiple menus. The instruction manual covers what these tools are used for. When you first turn the thing on, there is a menu for music, movie, recording, voice, radio, photo, settings, and e-book. I only use the music setting. If you press the menu button while music is playing, you get a menu for different playing modes. There is shuffle, repeat, repeat file, and normal. There is also ‘Equalizer’, which changes song style. If the music is paused and you press the menu button, you can delete songs or whole albums. The screen is big enough to be read easily, and when playing music, tells you what song, who sings it, and which folder, or album, it is in.

Nice but no real instructions.
It is fine for the money as far as playback goes but it is woefully uninformative as far as directions for use. It's understood that you have to use your computer to download music or whatever, however, I tried unsuccessfully for a week to delete a file before asking for help on here, I was told I must connect to my computer to delete files. That's an awkward way of doing it. Also the ear buds are very uncomfortable and no adjustment is possible. I had to buy some that didn't hurt my ears. I would also like to be able to charge it some way besides plugging it in to my computer.

Not worth it...
This was a Christmas gift- that may have to be tossed! Totally not like the one we purchased for my daughter (it was a totally different brand)First, I had to convert ALL the itunes files into MP3 version- what a time consuming hassle, but this is what I do out of love for my kids!Second, it is the strangest little thing to play- not organization at all. With the daughters device (again- totally different) she can select to play by album, artist... this one is just so very random with no choice. I mean, I can make folders inside the device folder that pops up.... BUT that bring me to my last point...Lastly- after plugging it in twice to the computer to add music (a file folder pops up for the device) the device is NO LONGER RECOGNIZED!!! I CANNOT for the life of me get the file folder to pop up. I have tried THREE different computers! And yes, I am awesome with technology.I have emailed the seller, so we will see what happens...

Great Gift Idea
Purchased for my 9 y.o. great nephew for Christmas. Of course it WAS NOT a video game so not much attention was paid to it upon opening. A couple of weeks later he called and told me how great it was... he could have his musics, add photos, read e-books. It was a hit and his mom reports that this is an excellent MP3 player.

Wow, Kinda Like a Learning a New Video Game...
Let me start by saying I rarely give bad reviews. The PROBLEM (in my opinion) is in the instructions (and a somewhat klunky design). Just because I can't get it to work doesn't mean someone else won't think it's great deal at under $20. Then again, I consider myself average-plus when it comes to tech (I can open a PC and easily replace a DVD drive, update Windows from 8 to 10 without losing sleep, et cetera) so I'm not your parents/grandparents (despite my age). But this POS, wanna-be MP3/voice-recorder/whutever... if two of its six features were user-friendly I'd have given it a higher rating. As of 12-24-18? Best I can say is: if you throw it against the wall REALLY hard it will probably still work (as it has for me) and that's not a bad thing...

Good value
Got it to play our music in the car ! Thought we would start with something reasonable in price and see how it went and it’s doing a good job ! Husband had to convert all out tunes to MP3 or something though ! But it works fine !

Husband loves this gift
This product has been a wonderful gift for my husband. He is happy with the look of the product, sound quality, and usability. My daughter helped him put music on, and how to use it. It is a hit!
