Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with 2908 Standard Stud - Replaces 2900 - Black

Had been looking for this for a very long time. Finally got the perfect fit

An excellent solution for clamping ball heads to bars and windows of safari vehicles.I am planning to fix it on the anti roll bar of the open Gypsy jeep and with the Wimberly gimble head attached to my Nikkor 600 mm super tele lens,it should give an excellent shooting experience for the next Tiger Safari .The standard stud is a must,otherwise how does one attach it to the ball head ?

Nothing but positives. This clamp is extremely solid and well built. Gap opening easy to adjust and grips very tightly on all types and shapes of surfaces. Studs and spigots fasten securely. Would definitely purchase again.

Very sturdy clamp but stud was missing. The product package was open inside but outside packaging was intact

Manfrotto pushed it back to Amazon, who have no facilty on the AMazon site to deal with this, as they only suggest dealing with Manfrotto. Not worth the hassle of returning, but it's still mis-selling to arrive without the stud, which costs £8 seperately.

Summary:I purchased 2 units of the Manfrotto super clamps, to attach several types of equipment to the Manfrotto AutoPole 2 that I own as well.The clamps are made from a solid aluminum and offers a solid grip. According to the manufacturer, the max. weight limit for this clamp is 15 kg - So far, I hung with it mostly LED lights, and it held them firmly.The clamp is padded from the inside, so when it surrounds the Manfrotto Autopole 2 that I attached it to, it doesn’t scratch the Autopole.The jaw opening range of this clamp is 0.5” - 2.1” (1.3 cm - 5.3 cm) which is relatively big and makes it easy to fit this clamp with various setups.I purchased the clamp along with a metal stud, that is useful and durable, but I was a bit surprised to learn that it shows marks from the screw of the items I attached to it. Since it’s a metal stud (and not a cheap one), I thought it will not show any scratches or marks. But so far, at least it didn’t bend inward, like a cheap aluminum stud. You probably will need the metal stud, so I recommend getting it as well, as the super clamp is sold either with or without it.Overall, the setup of my equipment looks great and seems to be in its place thanks to the Manfrotto super clamps, so I’m comfortable with it and can sleep well at night and it won’t fall on my head, so it was worth spending the extra bucks on the more familiar brand and start working.Please note I attached to this review screenshots + a video I made about my experience with the super clam.****FAQ :****If you have any, please do ask and I will do my best to answer them.
