After staying up until past midnight reading the book from cover to cover, I have got to tell you all that this book is a bargain at 3 times the price!As the old saying goes, I laughed and I cried. George's sense of humor will keep you rolling, and his heart felt description of how his life has turned around, will make you cry. His love and dedication to his family shines through, even as he teases his family. He even calls Rachel a "weiner" in one recipe!!! (bbq baked soybeans!!! YUMMY!!!) ((jk)) I can honestly say, I've read zillions of cookbooks, and not a one of them has made me laugh and cry! My family thought I was nuts, reading a "cookbook" and laughing. But this is SO much more than a "cookbook"!! It is a testimonial, it is a roadmap to anyone wanting a healthy life, and it is a love story, plain and simple.I am chomping at the bit to get to the grocery store and start cooking! Breadless Bread Pudding!!!! Six very simple ingredients, and what a comfort food! (I just happen to have all the ingredients at home for that one!)What I love about the recipes is that there is everything from the simple "why didn't I think of that" type recipes to the elegant "serve it to the president" type recipes. And on each and every recipe, George gives a "Make it Memorable" recommendation of things to serve with it. How can you NOT make a memorable meal with this kind of help?Each and every recipe has a complete nutritional breakdown, and every recipe has "Healthful Hints" as to how to cut the fat and calories without cutting out the wonderful flavors. How much more versatile can you get?I can not imagine any type of cuisine that has not been covered in this book. From Jamaican BBQ Ribs to General Tso's Chicken to Italian Marinated Veggies to Ernie's Greco-Roman Rib Eyes. I could go on and on. Whatever your palate craves will be covered, I assure you!For those of you who have access to wonderful fresh seafood, you are going to be thrilled! (Tennessee isn't known for their seafood! DRATS!) I was absolutely salavating over the Monkfish Kebabs recipe, and the Spaghetti Squash with Clams Provencal Sauce recipe, and all the others!After reading the book from cover to cover, I am going BACK to Amazon and placing another order for at least 6 books. I am a complete believer in Stella Style, and I know MANY people in my life that would benefit from this healthy lifestyle. I hope that all of you will do the same, and spread the word to everyone you know about the HEALTHY and TASTEY world they could live in!Please take my advice and make sure this book is on your counter 24/7! I promise you, you won't need another cookbook, ever!

amazing recipes as usual.
It was so hard for me to keep up with any diet without inventive recipes. to use just a general cookbook and dig up the low carb ones was so hard. other low carb cookbooks would have bland recipes and weird, hard to find, expensive ingredients..only Stella's books would have natural basic ingredients. very easy to make recipes, amazing results.. it's like I have a chef in my house, eating yummy food all day long, full all the time, no cravings, no starving (the worst enemy for any diet), easy to decide what to eat.with Stella I would have whatever vegetables I find in the store, I would look in the book for the one that I want to cook first and that's it,don't have to worry about how much carbs are there, can I trust that count? no ingredients that I don't have.. tips in the book to help replace some ingredients. calories and carbs count.again, few ingredients, you can have them at home all the time, all natural, easy to make, delicious, fancy, and healthy, arrange your menu so you won't feel like eating cheese all the time..this book does not have enough pictures, but that's ok, recipes are so easy and simple that you don't need them.as for the diet: I can not follow diets that allow me to eat carbs because I can not stop eating them if I have them. you will lose weight on Stella method, to lose faster you can start with lower numbers of carbs (like Atkins induction).amazing method of thickening soup. today my husband had stomachache,I just made mushroom soup and it took exactly less than 15 min and was filling and delicious. while in the past I would spend hours thinking what to cook and end up eating the same thing (cesaer chicken salad)Now I have a peace of mind of what to eat, and stay on track... thanks Stella.

Eating Stella Style: Low-Carb Recipes
Back in October 2016 my Dr had his NURSE call to tell me my labwork came back bad and I had to quit eating sugar and go low carb. That was it. It's been years and years since I was in school. So it had been years and years since I had studied any sort of nutrition. Which let's be honest, we don't go into any sort of real depth in this country. So I had no directions of what 'low carb' meant. I got the no sugar part and right before the holidays too. Meanies. But I had to research the low carb. I started on google for definitions of carbs and nutrition. Graduating to recipes and chefs..where I discovered George Stella! Next stop-Amazon! I start by looking inside some of his recipe books (LOVE this feature Amazon-just wish we could view MORE pages than you allow!) then I read REVIEWS. I decided to take a chance and I bought 2 of his older recipe books. Baby steps! I'm so glad I did! He has superb recipes in both! I know I'll be ordering more of his recipe books in the future. Did more labs last day of December-all is looking good, plus I lost 30 pounds! No longer craving sugar! Did tell the doc though that they really need to tell patients what low carb means because most folks ain't gonna do the research like I did. Either because they don't have access to the information or laziness.

Great recipe book!
This book has some lovely recipes which I have cooked and they came out tasting nice! The cooking style is simple. If you have been lowcarbing for a while you will have most if not all ingredients. I would recommend both his books!

We love George Stella!
Any one of George Stella's books are great to have onhand when embracing the low-carb lifestyle. A great selection, from snacks, main courses to my favourite, desserts! We will be on the watch for any new books he writes
