Beautiful knife, RAZOR sharp right out of the box. One of those knives you can tell is quality just by how it feels in your hand. Really nice steel with Micarta scales that give you a good sense of security in the hand. The blade shape is perfect. I've always really loved the "leaf" shape that you typically find on Spyderco's, but this one is really beautiful and precise. The blade geometry is just fantastic. My ONLY reason to give 4 stars for "comfort" is due to the handle shape. While it is perfect for a strong grip in the "regular" grip, it does not lend itself to really any other kind. I mean, you can hold it in a reverse grip, but it's not exactly comfortable. This is just a personal opinion and should not take away from the stellar quality, build and fit and finish of this blade. Make sure you take a look at the handle and make sure it's what you want, and if so, go ahead and click "buy". You won't be disappointed.

This is one beauty of a knife. Fits my hand like it was molded to it. Sharp as a razor out of the box. Great steel and grippy handle make for a great knife. It comes with a quality leather sheath and you can get optional kydex sheaths from the maker. I highly recommend this for hiking, camping or survival uses.

Wasn’t sure I’d love the knife based on the style, but was interested to find out about the maker and their reputation for quality. The knife itself is sturdy, comfortable and overall well made. My issues are fit and finish generally. The knife I bought was “used like new” in original packaging. By all appearances it was brand new, but the box was a blemish. I’d say this is a 5 star quality knife. The materials on the blade and 3d handle are superb.The handle fit is great for a large hand and the only thing there is the cutout for the lanyard hole is oddly angular and sharp.My issue overall is the blade and sharpening from the factory. You can see this in others images. The blade had tool marks at all the edges and was sharpened only coarsely. I’d say maybe 120 or 200 grit at most on the cutting edge. The tang of the knife also has tool marks all around. This is cosmetic, but speaks to the workmanship and pride of the maker.My main point is, don’t expect a flawless knife out of the box. I easily spent an hour manually honing tool marks and burr out of the cutting edge of the blade. Once I got those mostly out the blade is actually razor sharp with a 20 degree mirror edge. Oh, and the leather sheath really is not nice. Budget an upgrade on that too. 3 stars on finish, 4 on quality due to the sheath. 3.5 overall

As fixed knives go I was pleasantly surprised by the balance and weight of the knife. It was lighter in the hand than my Boker Plus 02BO055 Colubris Knife which I really enjoy using. The scales however seem a tad bit too large for me to have a confident grasp of the blade and detract from my overall satisfaction as they seem more appropriate to a bigger blade but this does not discount the fine quality of the blade or workmanship of the knife.

I own several knives, this knife is perfect as a hunting knife. The blade length is just right, the handle has a good feel, I like the finger profile at the base of the blade for precise cutting. The leather sheath is very nice, good quality.

Bought this knife as an upgrade to my old buck 110 folder. The Guardian 4 is about perfect for a hunting knife. Field dressed a whitetail deer last fall in no time even zipped right through the ribs. Cleanup was easy compared to my old folding knife and it’s still sharp enough to shave with. Highly recommended.

Great knife.Top quality steel.Nice leather sheath although I opted to buy the Bradford kydex sheath for it.Very comfortable in hand and great sized blade.
