Take of the cover, pour into pot 1 1/4 cups water or broth. Add a little salt if you are not using broth. Add a little butter or olive oil. Turn on heat. Bring water or broth to a boil and gently stir in 1 cup of couscous. Cover the pot. Turn off burner and remove pot from the burner. Allow to sit for 5 - 7 minutes. Take cover off pot. Couscous will have a dry, congealed, lumpy texture. Fluff up with a fork, getting rid of all the lumps. You can also try this with a rice cooker. **Q: What are the health benefits?** A: Hi :-) So, I had really high hopes for this couscous, but sadly, when it arrived it was broken open and smelled rancid!! I didn't take notice to health benefits from this particular brand, but you can always google health benefits of couscous. I am so sorry I couldn't answer your question. Tastes amazing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Couscous to Accompany your Tagine *by P***. on January 16, 2025* I grew up with this couscous and to me, that is the only couscous I can use when I make Tagines or Tabouleh. The grains are very fine and fluff easily in a couple of minutes with hot water. It’s very easy to make and versatile. Season it with salt and olive oil before putting the hot water on top of it and cover it. I make it in the bowl I will serve and cover it with a plate.
