Good taste, great with eggs. Church key didn't come with my purchase though and I cut the heck out of my fingers opening it with a pair of pliers.

I must say that it tastes pretty good. That being said, I didn't really believe all of the negative reviews about opening the can. I had put it down to ineptitude. On the first can, I had trouble. Upon locking in I twisted the key clockwise. I finally bent the key and broke the tab off. I finally just had to basically rip the lid off.

If you are lucky, and I mean REAL LUCKY, one of the cans MiGHT have a key opener. I was not lucky. I got one can open with a pair of pliers and the food was better than the usual corned beef - less than the usual amount of fat. Today I tried a second can. No key and pliers unable to open. Can’t find the the third and final can and will not search again. Amazon should be ashamed to peddle this garbage and unless I see a 100% refund for this purchase that was the LAST food I will ever purchase from Amazon! Taste - Good if you can get to it. Value for money - LESS THAN ZERO! Can condition - GARBAGE!

I thought this would be exactly like Spam, but it is not. It is very much corn beef. It is not a pureed meat; it has texture and the stringiness of beef. The flavor is of a salty corned beef, but really not overly salty. I have arthritis so it is really hard for me to open cans. But this one, with its own little crank works great! It is a LOT easier to open than a can opener version. The can comes completely full, and it is really a nice lunch meat. I would indeed recommend this to friends. I think it would be a great item for camping or backpacking.
