Useful for permenantly installing OBD2 dongle
We've used this in our Nissan Leaf to install an OBD2 dongle semi-permanently hidden inside the panelling, rather than constantly sticking out. We're using a secure one (an OBLink LX) which has a button you have to press to initially paid the bluetooth. After that first pairing it connects to your phone again without pressing, but nobody else can just walk up and connect when the car is parked. We popped out the original connector from it's housing, and used one of the ends from this for the OBD2 dongle and the other has connected back into the original housing so you'd be none the wiser that it's even there. No more knocking the dongle with our knees!

Does what it says on the tin.
Bought to be able to connect multiple devices to an OBD2If you intend to use this with a DoIP device, it may be necessary to depin one set of DoIP pins - when left pinned, we found we could get no DoIP Comms as one of the 2 devices plugged in was not DoIP compatible and was essentially shorting the pins.
