Xbox One is a lot of fun for the whole family.
Got my Xbox One for Christmas. I have been using the PS4 for the last few months. First let me say that the PS4 is a nice gaming machine and I have no issues with it. I got the Xbox One with Kinect. It came with Dance Central Spotlight. I haven't had so much fun playing a game in a long time. I sucked of course and my wife kicked my ass but it was a hilariously fun good time. After playing some games, Alien Isolation, Dead Rising 3 and Fantasia it's clear to me that if I could only have only one console it would be an Xbox One. The PS4 is good at playing games but the interaction with the Kinect sensor puts the Xbox One over the top. I have my Verizon service hooked right into my Xbox One and I can change channels and watch TV with voice commands. The voice commands work perfectly once you set everything up correctly. I can turn on my whole entertainment system with a simple Xbox On command. If I'm in the kitchen and I want to watch tv while I'm making some food or washing the dishes, it's a simple Xbox On and Xbox watch ESPN. I can easily switch back to gaming with a simple Xbox command. you can even use the snap command to access 2 things at once on your screen. I haven't used the snap feature to much but I saw where you could keep fantasy football stats on the side of the screen while you are watching football. I'll check that out this weekend. The added dimension in games is incredible. To much noise in the background while playing Dead Rising 3 and the Zombies turn their attention towards you. One of the big selling points between the 2 consoles when you talk to fanboys is the beefier specs that the PS4 has over the Xbox One. I originally bought the PS4 first just because it has slightly better specs and I knew I would get the other system for Christmas. When you are playing the games you can't tell one system from the other graphically. The games both look good for consoles and if you are comparing the graphics of the two consoles as selling points then I have to just laugh. One thing I will say as a PS4 owner. The PS4 boasts 1080p all the time but what they don't tell you is to maintain that resolution at all times you get plenty of performance loss in frames per second. The Xbox on the other hand scales down it's resolution so that the framerate doesn't dip. I'll take framerate over minor resolution bonuses any day. These complaints are minor and not game breaking but it's something I have noticed since owning my PS4. If you are in it for the graphics then buy a PC. My Gaming computer laughs out loud at all consoles, Especially with my new 3 monitor setup. I doubt my PS4 will get much use from here on out except for exclusives and the games I already have purchased. Turning on your whole entertainment system with Xbox One and multitasking to using your voice is just to much fun not to use. With Kinect you can get the whole family having fun in no time.

awesome game system from a ps4 fan
I was a complete sony/ps4 guy. I decided to buy this for a few reasons. 1: I had a 360 and before it broke I really loved gears of war on it. I can't wait for the remake and 4 to come out. 2: I am a big madden/fifa/nhl guy. I usually wait until the games are on sale for $20-30 before I buy them. With EA access, I have all three of them and battlefield 4 for the price of $30. So far they have put every game on there once they have gotten a little stale. I am patient enough to wait for the new games to get on there so I have massive savings just on the sports games. 3. Sling tv. Playstation does not have this option. This may sound like a dumb reason but switching to a non cable option of netflix/hulu/sling tv and having it on one box is great. Now for the few cons I have experienced. This may be personal preference, but I prefer the UI of the ps4 to this. It is much easier to find stuff. Also, a big negative for me is the option of non-rechargeable batteries, and looking into the recommended microsoft solution, charge $25 for a recharging kit. I have been spoiled having this included. I also like the controllers of the ps4, but again, this is personal preference. I dont know why, but I feel the xbone controllers are bigger than the 360. One last con that is a big personal preference is I think sony has better exclusives, but it depends on your taste. I love metal gear solid (no longer exclusive, but was in the past), god of war, uncharted, last of us, ratched and clank, order 1886, etc. When I owned a 360, I primarily played madden, call of duty, gears of war, and halo, with not much else I was interested in. One last thing that most people probably think is dumb is I prefer the trophy system to the achievement system, but this is also why I love the xbox. Any multiplat games that I don't care about going for the platinum trophy, or there too difficult to go for platinum, I will just get on xbox one, because I could care less about the achievements. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Got this bundle with arkham knight, 3 month xbox live, and an extra controller for $350. Selling a lot of the extras made this purchase in the $250 range, which I think is perfect. I really have enjoyed my xbox one, and would recommend one to anyone.

Xbox One A Major Upgrade to Gameplay and Lifestyle
I have had an Xbox since the original so it was a no brainier that I would own an Xbox 1.I have also been a PlayStation owner since the original both the Xbox and the PlayStation have their individual perks and issues I won't even begin that conversation. The Xbox One undoubtedly is a next generation gaming platform, the graphics as well as the gaming are so much more immersive that at times I find myself halting my game play to just take in the sheer magnitude of how amazing and detail oriented some of the environments and characters and weapons are in some of the games I have played thus far.The Xbox One is also as the name describes an all in one gaming platform the capabilities are many, you probably have read or watched some sort of video by now on all the capabilities so I won't list them all , I will say that when I originally was researching the capabilities of the Xbox One I can remember thinking, I will never use some of the capabilities, I was wrong.I find myself using the system for nearly everything from watching tv or Netflix, obviously gaming,Pandora, watching Blu-rays,taking snap shots of game play and the list goes on.I am of the belief of getting the most out of products I buy I want to use every option of every gadget I purchase ,if I don't I feel I am wasting money.I though that could be the case with the new Xbox.I found almost immediately that if all you wind up using the Xbox One for is gaming that you are still getting all that you paid for and it is very worth the purchase.
