RealZeal mouth guards / night guards takes about 5 minutes to mold. 1) I heated half a small bowl of water in microwave for 2.45 seconds. 2) Soaked the guard for 15 seconds until soft. 3) Cooled it for 3 seconds. 4) Put it in my mouth. 4) pushed it with my hand from the front of my mouth to mold it between the front teeth and inner part of mouth/top lip 5) push the back part with my tongue against the back side of my top teeth and roof of my mouth 6) Bite down gently to create impression of bite between top and bottom teeth to a comfortable level That’s it!!! My dentist recommended a bite guard for sleeping because of an issue with bruxism, the grinding of teet, so the hunt began. A custom appliance seemed too expensive, going into the hundreds of US$, so I decided on a more commercial approach to save some money even though they're know for being less comfortable. Typical prices for a single premium guard was anywhere between US20 - 30, after doing a little online and in-store shopping. I narrowed it down to the Reazeal Mouth Guard for Grinding Teeth and Clenching Anti Grinding Teeth Custom Moldable Dental Night Guard Dental Night Guards to Prevent Bruxism -4 Pack/2 Size. Firstly, value and quantity...For about 25% the cost of premium. I basically received 2 guards. They give you two pairs of two sizes for you to choose from. The 8 pack is even more of a value. Secondly, ease of use. I followed the directions with required heating the guard in hot water for about 15 seconds, removing and cooling for about 4 seconds. Then, placing in the mouth and biting down and pushing your tongue against the roof of your mouth to finish shaping the appliance. Less that a minute of work gives you a custom appliance. NOTE: I highly recommend purchasing a cooking thermometer to keep you from melting or not having the guard hot enough to soften. Third, the quality is high enough that, after the guard is shaped and cooled, it keeps its shape and is resistant to biting. I haven't noticed and cracks or chips breaking off so far. You'll also notice if you do bite down, the pressure is very cushioned. Lastly, comfort. All your efforts of softening and shaping the guard paid off. You have an exact imprint for your teeth to rest on. The rear of the guard shapes to the roof of your mouth. The front conforms to your front gums and cheeks. I was skeptical at first, since I never used an overnight mouth guard before but was pleasantly surprised. Even though I knew it was there, I was not the least bit uncomfortable to wear while sleeping. Nor did I wake up in the middle of the night to take it off because of discomfort. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a mouth guard. NOTE: Make sure to follow the instructions provided with the mouth guards. Remember, there are two different sizes and you have to use the one that fits best.

My order arrived on time and in excellent condition. The package includes four mouth guards, a storage case, and instructions. While the instructions are provided, they could be clearer in some areas, but the process is still easy to follow. It's important to note that you will need a food thermometer, as the water temperature for molding is very specific. The process of molding the mouth guard to my teeth was quick and straightforward, taking only a few seconds. I've been using the mouth guard nightly to prevent teeth grinding, and after several weeks of use, it has been effective. This product can also be used as a sports mouth guard. it comes with 4 trays because it's impossible to get it right and have it be comfortable. first one, ruined bc I didn't have a thermometer and the water was too hot so it immediately shrunk. ordered a food thermometer, waited for it to arrive. second one i tried as directed to cut and mold over teeth. was uncomfortable. i kept working on it for 30-40 mins with different scissors. the plastic is very thick, which is fine on the behind teeth but too bulky for front teeth. once i realized my lips were just not covering the plastic when my face was relaxed - i tried different ways to mold the front teeth. so I cut and dip back into hot water to soften and try to mold in smaller increments, didnt work. you can't bite down the exact same way every time you try to soften and fix it - so it ended up having different teeth impressions on top of each other and de-centered itself. at some point i gave up on the second tray and opened the third one. third one - i decided to keep my efforts minimal and not be fussy. just trim a bit, soften and mold. i think this is what everyone is doing. it did cover the teeth but it was so bulky and uncomfortable. if you care about your breathing during sleep (no mouth breathing) then this wont work for you either. i tried to sleep with two of these options - first night it caused excessive saliva and drooling bc how bulky it is in the front. lips won't cover the plastic, it looked like a botched lip job. another night, it made it impossible to fall asleep. on the third night I needed to take it off at middle of the night because it kept waking me up. last night i was able to keep it in but woke up with gum and teeth ache. if your wisdom tooth are in and you have a gum flap on them, it will most certainly bother you too. overall as a woman with a normal sized face with a lot of patience and trial and error - I couldn't make this product work for me. I know the professional ones are so expensive so I might try a similar DIY product but this specific tray brand didn't work for me. bummer

These are absolutely great! My husband paid £500 to have a guard made through the dentist, so I was reluctant to go through them when they told me my teeth were cracking due to grinding in my sleep. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, if you don't have a thermometer to check the temperature of the water, just poor a freshly boiled kettle into a small pan. Gum shield is ready to come out when you see the rubber soften and close in, but don't leave it too long or the sides stick together. It's easy to cut off any excess, and you can redo it as many times as you need to to get it right. I did a set for upper teeth first, it was comfortable but made me dribble, so I've made a set for lower teeth. I had to cut quite a lot off, as I think they are designed for uppers, but they are comfortable, and don't force my mouth open, so hopefully won't dribble. Great product at a great price! Very happy bunny!
