Such a good book!
I got it for my 6yo because he's passionate about biology & although some of the stuff is too complicated for him to understand, the way that every subject is explained is definitely helping. 5 starts out of 5 :)

excellent book for year 8 and 9
This is an excellent home revision / study excellent book for year 8 and 9; so far it has answered all the homework questions. Binding is paperback - so needs protecting if it is going in the usual school bag as the outer pages are not very thick. OK for use at home. It is rated as good for years 10 & 11 - ie up to GCSE - but I will reserve judgement until I see it in action at that level. All this DK science series has been good at year 8-9 = recommended buy.

Curriculum must be interesting for children these days.
Always wondered what do children study book look like these days. This topic is amazing. How big is the small invisible world of biology and how intricate. The book is simple to read. Well connected to the world with examples. Interesting topics. Going global then with ecology is quite something. Here children will have a lot more with biology then what’s included in the book. Clearly this is meant so that they will grow on all those ways, on the small world and the big one too. To much for a children book. It’s like a seedling with dna s to come.

Amazing! Fabulous! Excellent! Magnificent! Perfect colors throughout the whole book, good details in printing, very comfortable reading, very good for beginners or those who want to refresh their general knowledge in biology, most themes are covered, though briefly, which is OK for such a short book of 200+ pages. A small minus: some themes, including in anatomy, are not covered at all. But overall - a perfect book!
