MS-400 Four Pocket Multi Strike Template

I do alot of work on older homes with missing or poorly installed locksets. I usually will need to install new or replacement locksets and their accompanying strike and latch plates on pre-existing doors. Before I bought this template, I either used scrapped together routing templates of my own construction or just chiseled the door and jamb by hand. My templates worked fine for most scenarios, but had to be clamped in place. My chiseling skills are not the greatest so I had to go slow on those installations.Finally got a chance to use this template and I am very impressed. It's quite quick to use with the built in nails and alignment templates. When I purchased, I thought I would only be able to use it to do door jamb side routing. It actually works really well for door latch plate routing as well! Use the included alignment pegs/templates to line up with the bolt hole already drilled in the door and then hammer the alignment nails in place. The holes left by the nails aren't that big and can be filled and painted over easily.Wish I would have bought this years ago!

Does a great job. Easy to use and almost foolproof! I keep a spare router with the appropriate bushing and bit just for the job.

This product is simple and easy to use.It has the most common sizes. It comes with an alignment tool that helps you center the route on the latch.Only down side is it leaves a hold on the jamb where it is mounted.

This is a very handy, well made, smartly designed tool! Simple to use for do-it-yourselfers such as my husband and I. Works great!

Excellent kit, my only complaint is that it's plywood not metal. But there's a reason people love it.

The media could not be loaded.  This template is by far the easiest to use it has multiple lock strike sizes and I wouldn’t leave home without it. I’m a master locksmith check out the video. I love my templaco and now I can get them from Amazon. No shipping. Hooray for me.

Great product. But you needed the 1/2 " bit with 5/8 bearing.
