Update 8/18/21: I stopped taking these for a while as I was focusing on other supplements for gut health etc... boy was that a mistake!!! My SI joint inflammation flared up and I couldn't figure out why because I have had almost no hip pain in months. I think it was because I wasn't taking these consistently and at the dosage I was used to. Once I got back on them it seemed to calm the pain down almost immediately. I know some people only take one or two a day but I take six, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I do this every morning and that seems to do it for me. I think you have to find the right dosage that works for you. In some cases that might be more than one or two capsules a day. I was taking the Jarrow brand 1000mg capsules for a while then switched to KalaHealth brand. I started with the crystals first, I could handle the taste (ugh) but it wasn't convenient for me. I take a decent amount of supplements and some I take on an empty stomach. MSM works best for me on an empty stomach so I have it next to my bed. Downing the bitter water was a bit much early in the morning and not easy to do when traveling, so I switched to the capsules. Still works great though, I do take quite a few of them but I have no problem downing a handful of capsules. I did go back and forth with the company on the dosage because I was a little confused. Even though the serving size is 2 capsules, if you look at the label it says 1000mg per capsule. So taking two, which is the serving size, is actually 2000mg. Understanding the dosage per pill was important to me due to the amount of the powder I was taking. I wanted to stay close to the same amount. This is a great product and it is way more effective for me, than the Jarrow brand and has absolutely NO FILLERS in the capsule form. Capsule form without fillers is very hard to find!

Kala health optimsm is the bomb! I was actually taking another Msm from a different company although I love the company the Msm powder was not right for me everyone is different. With the other Msm I gain weight immediately after I started taking it. The first week on it I gain 3lbs! I'm not the type to gain weight easy at all and I'm a vegetarian. I continued to take the other Msm for 3 and a half months and I gain 18lbs total. I also became depressed for no reason and my energy went to zero! The other one says it's made in America but it doesn't have a optimsm logo anywhere on the bottle. Anyway I discontinue use of Msm completely in lost a total of 5lbs then I decided to try this brand kala health OPTIMSM capsules and the next day after taking them I felt great mentally I was In a great mood and when Monday hit I was still in a great mood and I don't like Mondays because it's the first day of work lol. I'm still in a good mood 10 days later and my energy level is fine it's not up but more importantly it's not down. The best thing ever that has happen is my ALLERGIES is 50% better! I have a cat and I have cat allergies and bad fall and winter allergies so u can imagine how bad my allergies were. We'll my allergies is 50% percent better and some days it's been 60% better!!! I've tried mega dose vitamin c with no relief. I've tried quercetin with maybe 10% relief. I'm happy about this Msm clearing up my allergies so well and I only take 1 pill a day which is 1000mg. So I will keep monitoring my weight with this Msm so far I lost 1lb while on these which is good because I have not put on weight like I did taking the other brand, but if I began to put on weight I will update my review I will monitor my weight for three months while taking these capsules. Update 4-7-15 I've still been using this Msm and I have not gained a pound I've actually lost 7 more pounds. So within close to three months of using this product my allergies is still 50 to 60% better and I've lost A total of 8 pounds. So yes I will continue to take 1000mg a day of this amazing Msm and by the way there is a few people saying that this Msm is not pure well idk about that but my body seems to like this Msm so guess what I'm gonna listen to my body.

These are a good product. They are easy to take and swallow, and this container has a large number of pills for a decent price. I have had no aftertaste. They have helped to relieve my knee pain. Recommend you give them a try.
