The Best out of the box Blues harmonica.
The best, most versatile (out of the box) harmonica for Blues style that you can purchase. Easy to play with great tonal qualities.Undoubtedly, the original marine bands are the best of the best, but require some slight alterations to the reeds and comb to improve playability…..so the crossover harmonica’s are the closest to that sound in there nature form….Play them softly!

Expensive, but a good pro harp.
I think this is one of the best harps you can buy and use 'straight out of the box'. It comes with a voucher for an online learning course. The zip case is easy to use, protective, and looks smart.The price has crept up and up recently, making the cost of replacing the reeds worth considering when it gets tired after several years' use.I like playing it and I believe it sounds good with or without a microphone. It is suitable for professional use. I have used it for gigging and recording.

Blues Harp. Ready to play out of the box. Most harps need reed adjusting before playing. Nice full deep vibration and well able for bending notes and overflowing. Airtight smooth cover plates with bamboo comb. Delighted with purchase. A+++

Not perfect
The most expensive harmonica I've ever purchased - first off I noticed a small blemish on the front top brass strip - tiny I know, but my mouth is gonna be in contact with this. So then I do a test blow/draw on each reed - oh no the draw on No 2 reed is not sounding right! give the whole thing a blow/draw then re-test no the reed still sounds duff - I could open the harp up and investigate, but - no way - this harp cost £57 so it should be perfect out of the box- so I repacked it and it's been returned to Amazon - I'll stick with my 30 year old Marine band.

very good tone and easy to play
I bought this to replace an A key harmonica I already have from another big brand but which I was finding hard to double bend. This one plays like a dream. I opted for the slightly more expensive crossover and it didnt disappoint. Lovely tone, much easier to bend - lovely harp!

Hohners quality control slipping?
Bought this after having to return a Marine Band that was poorly put together (misaligned top cover and nails). This one in key of A arrived with damaged packaging (which I like to keep in case I want to sell in the future). Also one of the cover screws had the cross drilled out of the screw head, and appeared to have been tapped. Not good for a premium Hohner product. I'd already bought a Crossover in C after returning the faulty Marine Band, that one was ok. But after this second faulty Hohner I've bought a Suzuki Pro Master in A. This is lovely, I've also just ordered in G too.The sound and feel from the Crossover is nice when you get a good one, but not happy with having to keep returning faulty items. Amazons packaging doesn't help, not much protection.

Hohner Marine Band Crossover - very happy with my purchase
I am not a professional musician more of an enthusiast than anything else. I really like the look and sound of this harmonica. The sound is loud and clear without the 'tininess' of the special 20. Single notes are easy enough to hit, bend and even overblow. Although I do have some difficulty with the 3 hole draw. Chords sound warm. The feel is very different from both the special 20 and the marine band 1896. The comb which is supposed to be bamboo looks and feels like plastic. It certainly is well sealed. I have not taken it appart yet but it looks easy enough to do. I find it sounds great right out of the box and would not want to try any additional tuning.The construction is at least as sturdy as the other harmonicas in the marine band line.

MARINE BAND CROSSOVER Is the Best harmonica made from HOHNER. Can be used for all styles. Body is in bamboo so no problem about humidity coz is idro-repellent.The Seller is very Good. All perfect and in time.
