Go with name brand!!

Why go with name brand stuff? Quality materials, durable hinge, included waterproofing, as well as light up indicator. Snaps closed and stays closed. This replaced my cheapo shore power adapter and I was so impressed I replaced all other connections with Furrion. There really is a difference in product. These are worth the money.

Works well

Had to install as my fifth wheel has connection on roof. I was easily able to mount this near the battery compartment, just snap on the wire from the solar panel and you're set.

Good, solid plug receptacle

Nice plug for the solar panels and we also use it for 12 volt spot light we use to look in compartments at night.

Easy DIY

No instructions whatsoever with this as to how to wire to your batteries, but that’s because there is nothing to it. If your solar panel has a controller you just wire to battery bank. If not, wire to a controller, then to battery bank.

A bit pricey, but very well built.

The inlet is a bit pricey, but I replaced my non-latching inlet on my RV with this one, because the former was always disconnecting when I moved my portable panel and the cord was moving as well. This item solves my problem. It is sturdier, has a higher gauge and the connector has a latch, so that you can't accidentally or involuntarily disconnect the cable when tripped or moved. It is water tight. Overall very pleased with my new installation.

So far so good

I have only used one of these on a boat. it worked well to cover a pre-existing hole.they are not the sturdiest construction, but seem to serve the purpose just fine.
