Just okay for price tag of Rs.3099
I bought this during great indian festival at Rs.3099 and the mrp is Rs.6999 printed. Earlier I bought Adata HV620S before buying this one and i saw that the hdd is getting scratched very beginning and after 1 month i cant look into it. So i spent extra 100rs to buy this HD650. So I requested Amazon to take that Hv model back and instead I would bought this HD model, and Amazon agreed to me. I also own an Sony hdd. But this adata is not great like sony. I will discuss this matter in details.Sony is priced at Rs.3799 and the quality is excellent ,adata HD650 is also good.I generally use hdd with my mobile Asus Zenfone Max with OTG. Sony can be detected on my phone even if charge is below 30%. But in case of adata if my battery falls below 50% it doesn't sense.Sony makes clicking noise and vibrations could be felt also. But in adata it is rare.Sony gives USB 3.0 but this one give USB 3.1Its a value for money at Rs.3099 not much than that.Don't forget to register your adata at website.

Worst Choice of HDD to Buy. Mine got damaged after 1.5 yrs . Also the customer care is non-existent
The HDD might look good on deals but your data isn't secure. My HDD got damaged within 1.5 years and when I did contact the company, the reply was that " You should contact the dealer from where you bought". Please donot buy the product. Instead go for Seagate even if you have to spend a few more hundred.

If it's cheap than rivals then go for it! 👍
After using it more than 2 month I am writing this review! It is good external hard disk considering its price. I bought it @ ₹5000 on flash sale. Only problem I get in this hard disk is that it's takes time to load generally about 15-20 seconds. And I can also use this on my phone with otg cable. It's looks durable and have nice silicon material for better grip and durability. I am getting 25-30 MBps in pc(usb 2.0),85-110 MBps in usb 3.0 and in mobile i get 15-20 MBps speed.

Adata HD650 2TB, USB 3.2, Gen1 - Robust, Reliable and best choice.
Adata HD650 2TB- USB 3.2, Gen1 - Robust and Reliable. This is the second external HDD i have purchased in less than two months(same model). One used for my PS4 and the other used for data backup. Both are solid, robust and reliable. Functioning as expected. The data transfer speed observed from my laptop to HDD was around max 96MB/s. That was topnotch. The drive is silent, hardly any vibrations and the best part is it's protection layer from outside. I lost two HDDs last year due to external shocks. That is why I was very skeptical about choosing a HDD this time. I am happy I have made the right choice. My future choice of HDDs is going to be ADATA only. Go for it, guys.Thank you Amazon for the super fast delivery. I received the package in just 36 hrs. Stay safe.

Not reliable. Toshiba hdd inside.
The write speed is lesser than WD and Sandisk. Not sure whether this hdd will survive long.Shock resistant? I don't think so. It only has a light plastic cover with rubber coating.Never thought it will have a Toshiba hdd in it. Got this info on Crystal disk. No damage to the hdd though.Thought Adata was a brand by itself. I don't like Toshiba hdd, because it is prone to fail if you're a heavy user. Had bad experience with Toshiba hdd internal and external in the past. I won't go with Adata hdds anymore.

Great and TUF
This might be ₹400 to ₹1k more expensive than the alternatives but the additional protection it provides makes it worthy of that price bump in the long run. This one ain't waterproof though and the one that is was a more expensive. Speeds are good 110 read and 90 write better than cheaper ones from Seagate which have 70 write.(MBps) Remind me why are we still using USB SuperSpeed when Type-C is better in speeds, easier in usage and cheaper to manufacture?

Not recommended for lightroom/ps works bc you need to keep adding files over and over again
Product is thickWriting and transfer speed is acceptableWorking with Photoshop or lightroom is kinda headache for me, because if you add files from the HDD to the lightroom catalogue and next time it shows the file missing command and we may need to add files again for us to work with the same files again. It's killing my workflow.Product feels durable and strong

A Must Buy !
Real nice HDD for external use that offers brilliant protection all round. I purchased this item as I was looking for something more rugged than your average everyday external HDD,s that don't offer much protection at all. As I tend to sometimes drop things, I've "tested" this HDD protection level in this very manner , and can safely say it'll survive a fall or two . And the hard drive inside Will still work once connected back up to ur PC. I've had two external HDD,s that didn't match the same level of protection of the Adata and because I dropped them on a hard surface , they failed. This is something you won't have to worry about with this HDD however . It'll probably survive most accidents or should it be taken outside due it's durability.

adata HD650 external HD
Good overall design but USB 3 connector on drive end a weak spot, which will result in connection failure at some point, (not enough support for cable connection at that point which will likely pull connector off circuit board), future purchases will be of Silicon Power Armor A80, but will keep an eye out for ADATA updated products as they always perform fast and are good value. On a good note, if connector does fail, the standard laptop hd (2.5") will be able to be fitted into another cassy thus no loss in data, some external hard drives now use custom fitted connectors as part of hard drive (western digital passport) so would be hard to get data back if connector fails.

Happy with it - Does the Job
I bought this is Dec 2016 not having heard of ADATA before, I wasn't expecting much, but after more than 2 years constant use, it's still going strong. Admittedly I have it plugged into my TV and use it for storing media so it's doesn't travel much (to work and back once a month) but I've never had any ready write issues and connection faults. I'm now looking for a larger drive for another use and would use this brand again.

Robust feel to the unit.
I like this hard drive. I have had it for a while now and it loads files seemlessly of all sorts. Documents photographs films and many other things i have thrown at it. I have dotted off a star as the usb lead is extremely short with little wiggle room. I have a number of other hard drives with same problem and it seems to be a theme of most manufacturers not just ADATA. Please stop it. This is a robust unit and feels very sturdy. I would recommend it to would be purchasers. It is simple to copy and paste files onto or to create folders. No frills just the way I prefer hard drives to function.

ADATA HD650 1TB USB3.0 High Speed Triple-Layer Anti-Shock Outdoor Style Ruggedize External Hard Drive, Red
I have been looking for a cheap, durable, reliable external hard drive with a USB 3.0 interface. The capacity did not matter but 1TB or greater was on my shopping list. I was attracted by the appearance of the ADATA HD650 so I purchased one. It has met my 3 criteria but in addition it has proved to be virtually silent. I have to put my hand on the case to verify that it is in operation. I was impressed so I purchased another. I carry each drive in my laptop bags because another feature is they are very lightweight.
