What is the beam spread, I need a narrow flood around 25 degrees

I can't give you an exact spread, I have 5 in a track lighting system. The room is appx 8x8 with a 10ft ceiling. The spread on my pc desk, which is roughly 3ft high, is about 4ft. So I guess it a single light would give you a 4ft circle at roughly 6ft, maybe a little smaller? Hope that helps, as confusing as it sounds, lol.

How many lumens do they generate???

On the outside of the box it says 400 lumens.

My old recessed enclosure had a mr16 bulb but there was glass cover over bulb. does that glass cover get used with the new led bulb?? thank you

No. The glass cover is not needed. The glass cover is needed when you use a tungsten halogen bulb because they emit a broad spectrum of light, including some UV light. The glass cover blocks that UV so it doesn't reach your eyes or skin. Since LED bulbs don't produce significant amounts of UV light, the glass cover isn't needed. (By the way, the glass cover isn't a lens; it doesn't focus or disburse the light in any way. It simply blocks UV and helps protect you in case the hot quartz envelope surrounding a tungsten halogen bulb explodes.)
