MARMOT Cascade Rain Jacket

I bought this jacket for a trip to Iceland, and it was the perfect solution for the unpredictable and often extreme weather there. Between the heavy rain, wind, and misty conditions, I needed something truly waterproof—and this jacket exceeded expectations. I stayed completely dry the entire time, even during long hikes and downpours. It’s lightweight and very comfortable to wear for extended periods, which made it great for layering over base layers without feeling bulky. The fit was true to size in the chest, but I did notice the sleeves ran a bit long. Thankfully, the elastic wrist cuffs made all the difference by keeping the sleeves in place and preventing water from creeping in. If you’re heading somewhere with wet, wild weather, this jacket is a reliable and smart choice. Highly recommend!

A very clean, tradition, simple design. The fabric is not noisey, like some waterproof ones can be. Lightweight. This is a very nice jacket. I typically wear medium, and this medium was just a bit too big for me. That would have been OK, but I was also looking or something more "active/sports" orientated and went with a different one (with more venting, etc).

good enough for 100$ range. everything works and no tears after a year of frequent use. however i was running in the jacket many times and it looks like the material is worn out and it stopped protect from the rain after ~1-2 months. so it needs some care with water repellent. but overall it's a decent jacket with some flaws.

As advertised, this is a very durable, strong jacket. Very much waterproof. Folds up nicely for travel. Great value on a great brand.

So far so good. Haven’t been in a lot of rain. Fit , feel all are great. Arms are a tad long but perfect in my opinion as you can move , put sweatshirt under it etc. it is light weight but feels like it will also keep you decently warm . Appears great quality and has a limited lifetime warranty .

Small fits like a med/large, sizing is all messed up. Who is your target audience?

Apparently, this company makes extremely good quality rainwear, and this jacket is probably their lowest price point. So far I quite like it even with the odd retro styling and color. I have not been in a torrential downpour yet but so far the rain bounces off it nicely and it doesn’t get saturated with a wet feeling like the raincoat I got on Amazon a couple years ago. For the price, I think it has a very good quality look and feel.

Esta es un rompiemientos/chaquetas de lluvia hermosa y técnicamente funcional. La probé recientemente y funciona muy bien en lluvia. No se mete el agua, y según datos estimados podría soportar unos 10000 mm de agua. Esto la hace una excelente opción tanto urbana como para senderismo y soportar lluvias moderadas. El diseño y calidad sin superiores. Es mi primera prenda de Marmot y ya mandé pedir también el pantalón impermeable para tener el juego de ambas prendas. Llevo años usando varias marcas del mercado, y esta puedo decir es de altísima calidad. La recomiendo ampliamente.

Unfortunately, its waterproofing not good when it comes to heavy raining. Suitable for light rain. Sleeve is too long. Consider to give this a pass
