The media could not be loaded. Great lock functionality! It is the same key for top and bottom which was the main reason why I bought it (very hard to find these days). Very easy install the look is clean and easy to open

I replaced a Schlage lock combo that I installed on a door in 2006 with this newer set. Even though I chose this new set based on it being listed as having the highest residential security grading, in comparison to the old lock set, the differences are:It's much lighter in weight and not as heavily-constructed, or as thick as the old set.The deadbolt casing is smaller, to the point that the unpainted area of the door behind the old deadbolt is now visible with the new deadbolt installedJust looking at the two deadbolts side-by-side, there appears to be more plastic used in the internal parts of the new part, and the internal walls are much thinner as well.I have no idea if these superficial differences translate to a less secure product than the old one, but they're worth noting.

I've always liked Schlage for security hardware and these sets don't disappoint. They fit easily in our existing door holes, sturdy and smooth mechanisms. We like the appearance. We had them installed with a front door handle and deadbolt and are very pleased. Amazon offered one of the best prices compared to big box stores and we received it quickly

Schlage is my favorite brand of door hardware. In my younger years as a Carpenter, I would work on Condos in the bay area, and all I did for 1 year was hang interior and exterior doors in the units we were remodeling. This is with trim and door hardware. Maybe hard to believe (even for me to think I did this many) but I have hung over 1000 doors with all everything included. You get pretty good at something with repetition. Schlage was the prefered lockset and passage hardware. Very quick and easy to install. No granted, I was do this for my job 40 hours a week, but my crew would race to see how many properly hung doors we could install a day without any mistakes. Now as far as door knobs were concerned, we got down to 4 minutes for an install, and schlage always worked better than any other brand. Plus... a little secret... you can get a copy of a key for a schlage, on a Baldwin key blank, which is a wider key and has more torque than a schlage key. A nice little extra for you client, or for yourself.

Not happy with my Order. Amazon Description says Matching Locks / Keys. I ordered 3 and just Noticed 2 Have the Same Key Code but the Third one Doesn’t. Bad Inaccurate Description! I guess I have to Buy a Rekeying Kit and Figure that Out? Not Happy!

The Schlage lock set is made of quality heavy duty materials and puts the Kwikset brand lock set originally installed to shame. I will definitely buy again.This lock set unlocks itself when the interior knob is turned vs. having to manually unlock before the knob will turn. I prefer to have the interior knob not turn when the lock set is locked. It's just a personal preference, but I may learn to like it. Only time will tell.
