These things are super cool for those IP cameras where you really don't want to run 12 volt power separately. If you have an oddball run, this is a good solution. Caveat is the size of the converter and whatever the whole size is for your cable versus the mounting hole of said camera. Your mileage may vary just be aware.

I used one to power a Radio; it worked for the project I was building.

Excellent results so far. Using these for interior LED lighting on a computer-controlled schedule. I try to not stress them by running at about half of the rated power. Didn't have one fail yet. About to start powering some small inductive loads. Will see how that goes.

I bought the Bawofu Active PoE Power Over Ethernet Splitter to run a few IP cameras. It does seem to provide power reliably, but in my case it would not pass network/data at all, my cameras never showed up on the network. Looking closer, it appears only 4 of the Ethernet conductors are connected on the data side, so with my older-style cameras it powers them, but they don’t actually establish a network connection. This may work fine depending on your specific setup, but for my application it was power-only. Recommend doing your due diligence and confirming compatibility with your device/camera model before buying.
