Excellent - still going after 5 years
I bought this lullaby night light 5 years ago for my daughter. She has always loved it and associates it with going to sleep. I'm expecting another baby now but I have to order another music box as my daughter doesnt want to pass it on. If it makes going to sleep easier then I dont see this as being a problem. It is nice that if she wakes up in the night she switches the box on herself to get back to sleep. It is also fun recording messages using the record feature.Only changed the batteries 3 times so I would say this is excellent value for money and a quality product.

OK but not a bedtime soother in my opinion...
This is designed to go on the side of the cot to help your child get to sleep. However I find that the songs aren't long enough for this. I have been using it as an activity toy but my little one doesn't really like it. He enjoys the music and lights but now he is at the age where he reaches out to touch stuff and when he spins the barrel, it makes a loud noise and lights up in a single bright colour. He hates this so I have to keep that part of the toy out of his reach. He does like this toy sometimes when he is in the right mood but it is definitely not a sleeping aid for him.The recording feature is brilliant though we have been having a lot of fun with that and it does have 2 volume settings. Those are its only redeeming features though.

absolutely brilliant
We bought this when our baby was about 4-6 weeks old. he loved to gaze at it in his cot or anywhere really. he is now almost six months old and still loves it. Every so often he learns how to do something new on it. It has lovely soft lullaby tunes as well as a bit of the fun noisy stuff. I thought it was expensive at the time, but given the length of time he has been using it for, it was well worth it

emergency replacement!
This night light has turned out to be my daughters "security blanket" at night. A friend gave us this second hand when she was born, but it's on the way now, it's been used by a few different people now, so it's lasted a while. I'm about to buy an emergency replacement! To be honest, there are better music/light machines out there, i find the music to upbeat for night time but apparently i'm wrong! my daughter likes it, so i have to get this one! i dont put it in her cot, i put it under the bed, so the lights dont keep her awake. the only problem is that it's sensors are temperamental, i.e. sometimes she'll cry for it to come on and it wont react but then if i creep past her room in the night it'll react! which isn't a problem because it only ever comforts her. Basically, it works.

It was good until...
My 6 month old daughter loves this we`ve had it on every night from she was a month old and has never failed to get her to sleep BUT... Now if she wakes up in the night and it goes off she decides to lie and play with it resulting in a very wide awake baby at 2am and struggle to get her back to sleep

wonderful
We bought this for our son when we moved in to a new house. He does love it and it calms him right back to sleep. Even after 6 months he still loves to watch the lights. It is let down by the music on sensor mode doesn't last long, just 5 songs lasting a couple of minutes in total. It is also very sensitive and I am glad i removed it from his cot, woke him up every time he moved. I'd recommed putting it outside the cot on a chair for example, somewhere where baby's movement won't trigger it to get the best result out of this. Otherwise great product
