Faster! Faster! (Leslie Patricelli board books)

Toddler really likes this book, but not as much as "Higher! Higher!" which he adores. I think this is because the premise here might be less clear--I'm not sure Toddler is really aware of different animals' varying speeds or understands that what we're dealing with here is metaphor. If you have to pick one, go with "Higher," which features rockets, monkeys, and airplanes, and a clearer setup. But if you can get both, then why not?

Such a simple book but my 2yo loves it, and she’s learning early literacy skills from it since it has predictable text. (“Faster, faster” on each page so she can “read” it) The pictures encourage her to make predictions. We love this one!

We love the story and the illustrations! Unfortunately, limited to board pages, the last bit from the original book is left out.

Parent and child can enjoy reading a beautifully worded expression of joyful play. Both child and parent can feel and see in the pictures the great excitement shared by the story's characters. Reading this book with your child could be a bonding experience. Savoreach day of your "little treasure's" childhood!!!

This has quickly become one of my son's favorite books!

Fun illustration but for a 2 year old who is really vocal, books need to have more words than just “Faster, Faster!”. Same thing with “Higher, Higher!” I like the baby version of her books which have more wordings.

The best thing about Leslie P.'s books is that there is so much room for your kid to tell you what is happening outside of the words in the book. While not as good as Higher Higher, this is a great book for using your imagination.
