Dreambaby 39 in. White Chelsea Extra Tall Extension

I like this gate overall - sturdy and looks great. But I wish ALL the extensions came with reinforcement clamps. We bought this 39" extension and the 10.5" extension, but the extensions only come with a reinforcement clamp that you screw in over the extension and the gate if the extension is over like 12" or so. Sooo... the long side of our gate with 39" piece feels very sturdy, while the short side with the 10.5" piece is not reinforced and therefore bends a little at the joint. We put this gate in a 81" opening, which I realize is very wide, but the gate would be sturdier if it had that extra clamp on the short side. I check it everytime I walk through because I fear that its going to bend too much and buckle, but so far (2 months) it hasn't come close to that (I will update this review if anything changes). Our son is a brute (22lbs at 9 mos) and he stands up and he pulls on the gate. Overall, I recommend this long extension, but I'm still a little unsure about the shorter extensions.

I bought this extension for a very large opening on my patio. It looks very nice! However it was a total pain to put together by myself. I am sure it would be easier if there were two people putting this together. Also the hole that the screws were supposed go in didn’t align so I had to drill the hole bigger myself which was annoying. Overall it seems sturdy and I am hoping it will hold up over time as I have a rambunctious 1 year old boy.

I ordered both the extra wide extra tall hallway gate, and the extra tall gate. They were great and had spaces between the slats that measured between 1.75 and 2.25 inches. This prevented my cat from passing through. I ordered the 39" extension thinking I could close off a large entry from my cat. WRONG. The spaces between the bars on the 39 inch extension are 2.75 inches. The 10.5 inch extension has close bars, the 21" extension has bars 2.5 apart, and all the others have wider spacing, with the 39" extension having the widest spacing. In addition to that it was poorly packaged, and appeared to be warped.

On time and as expected! Would recommend drilling support holes in bottom and drilling to floor if you have larger dog.

We needed a way to keep our dogs out of certain areas of the house. This product not only looks great, but it's sturdy and easy to use while being hugely effective at keeping the dogs out of the room. The gate extension allowed us to close off a room that otherwise didn't have a door - about 80 inches of "doorway" and didn't make the gate any less sturdy. If we ever need to close off another area of the house, we're definitely going with Dreambaby again.

It's perfect! Only thing I didn't realize was the spaces were much wider than the gate. Having chihuahuas, I had to put something up against it or they could go through it.

Used this to extend the DreamBaby Chelsea Extra Tall gate. We have this setup to block an 8' opening between our living room and dining room.

I used this with extensions at the top of my stairs. This thing is great! It has withstood babies banging and yanking on it. Very sturdy.
