Dreambaby14 in. White Chelsea Extra Tall Extension, ONE Size

The Dreambaby Extra Tall gates and extensions have exceeded our expectations. We use them to keep our cat and puppy from roaming to other parts of the house. We have an extra large space, 62". The Hallway gate with a 10.5" and 14" extension work perfectly. We just use the tension mounts, nothing screwed into the walls and for our purposes this works great. Walls are a little scratched up but easily painted when we no longer need the gates. We used clear tape on the latches so we can just pass through the gate without using our hands and it still lines up and closes behind us. Our animals haven't caught onto that yet and they stay on the inside. 4 stars only because the bar spacing on the 14" extension is slightly wider (2 3/4") than the others (2") so my skinny cat was able to get through. I bought an 11x14 piece of "semi" flexible clear acrylic (precut at Home Depot) and wove it through the 14" extension near the bottom and problem solved! No tools necessary and hardly noticeable. For the kitchen entrance we used the Extra Tall Swing Closed Safety Gate. Perfect size no extension needed. Highly recommend this line of gates. I did a LOT of research and for our needs this was the right choice for us!

The Dreambaby line of gates and gate extensions is excellent. This 14" metal extension is designed to work well with various gates, and it very strong and well constructed. I strongly recommend these Dreambaby products, but with one BIG caveat: Do your homework before you buy: measure very carefully the width of the hall or space where you plan to install the gate, search for gates and choose one or two you think come closest to working well for you (even it it isn't wide enough by itself), then go the the Dreambaby website and use their on-line tutorials for choosing the correct combinations of gates and extensions, write down the part numbers and widths of the items you intend to buy, and then go back to Amazon to purchase the items.Note: I found that there were three or more combinations that would work for the rather wide space that I wanted to gate. I decided to use as few smaller extensions as possible. I used the gate and extension to keep my two grandsons (1.5 and 2 years old) out of our family room during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The combination worked perfectly, and it took me only about 45 minutes to assemble the gate and extensions. You don't need lots of tools, but you do need a good tape measure and probably a level to do the job well--and be sure to read the assembly directions carefully before you set up the gate!

I had a gate that I was no longer using inside and purchased these extensions to fence in an 8' patio in an apartment that does not allow permantly installed enclosures. They look great and work great! Now I can go in and out without my cat racing down the sidewalk!

this is the second gate i purchased the first one was wooden and did not stand up well with 3 rottweilers. This metal one works perfect.

Good quality, the Dreambaby extra tall is a very sturdy gate even with extensions.

The tall gate extension stopped our roaming cats dead in their tracks. It was a worthwhile purchase and worth every penny.

Perfectly fit the walkway! Keeps the "animals" and all of their toys out of my adult space!
