Sussex Wholefoods Freeze-Dried Cherry Powder 100g

If anybody finds the powder has gone solid when kept in a cupboard, I have found the trick is to bash it into a powder again and keep in the freezer. This stops it going solid.

I regularly use fruit powder in my home-made yoghurt, and love cherries, but this so-called powder was a disaster. Came out of the packet in mushy clumps, and needed my liquidiser to make it useable, but this then wastes some in cleaning up.For time, effort, and waste, I doubt I will use this brand again.

Has to break up the powder as it had lumped together. Otherwise the product is excellent. Usually when I receive powders they are in a tub not a bag. The tub contents remain separated. The bag seems to entourage clumping. An excellent powder to add to smoothies.

Used the cherry powder to make some dark chocolate cherry truffles. The powder picked a punch and gave a natural sour cherry taste to the truffles.

Before even opening it clumped together and is hard to break apart and use!

I normally prefer to buy my freeze dried fruit in a sealed can, these bags reminded me why. Completely solid in their bags. I won't buy again if the packaging remains the same.
