Installed 2 Cable Connectors--Even Without Directions >>>Find Videos On YouTube<<<
So far I've successfully installed 2 coax cable connectors. Since no directions were included, I also ruined a connector before I got the tool adjusted by trial and error. I've had some experience in making cables, but this is the first time I've used compression connectors. I trust only minor adjustments will be needed in the future. The cable preparation tool (which cut the cable jacket) was easy to use and worked as expected. The zippered case that holds the tools and ends is convenient since it keeps everything together until another cable must be terminated. It appears this kit will do the job for which it was designed. However, some directions, as well as additional markings on the tools would make the task less prone to error. Before I terminate more cables, I'll search YouTube for "compression tool for coax cable" to watch appropriate videos.

Decent Mid-level tool.
Typical Mid-level tool for consumer or light commercial use. Good price-point for the quality. I hate spending the big money on the "Name". Sometimes you can't avoid it, but in this case it does what a typical installer with little issue. The included stripper is of low quality, but serves it's purpose as well. Not sure what the single Phillips screwdriver is for, but hey, it's included for the same price as just the compression tool alone!

Basic
I have never used any of these tools before and wasn't ready to invest in the costly versions at the local hardware store. I like this kit having everything included in a tidy zipper pouch. Simple to use and intermediate quality. This is good for a DIYer but wouldn't last long for commercial use. The cable connectors are good to experiment with to learn what to do, but you should definitely invest in a higher quality name brand connector to attach on your cables.

Cable Tool
Very easy to use. No instructions, but with YouTube it was a snap. Saved $$ to move cable router to new area instead of a “pro”. Very happy with new tools.

20+ yrs cable/wire installation. outstanding for the price! quality geyond expectation!
QUALITY but Price too. when I installed full time, my kit was over $200.00, not includeing any Electronic test equipment.COMFORT & Reliability.EXCELLENT Bang for the buck! You cant go wrong!Just be sure your getting the RIGHT ends, (Rg6, Rg-58, rj- 11) AND the ends you NEED! (Water Tight for outdoors!)If your doing less than 50 crimps every 6 mos, this is MORE than enuf! Was surprised at quality, however, your gonna wanna practice the cable cutting & prepping part a LOT, Before u even need to touch the crimper. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! ENJOY CUTTING THE CORD!Tool isnt the most comfortable, but your not marrying it! Your gonna squeeze about 3 Seconds, DEAL WITH IT!Id give this to an associate apprentices as a gifts!

Great Starter Kit
I'd like to talk about the dislikes first and then near the end I'll talk about what I do like about the product.I would have given 5 stars but for two reasons, first the plastic case that holds the connectors was cracked and a small section of the plastic case, where it was cracked, was missing. Considering it was all sealed up inside the zipper carrying case, it must have already been cracked before it was put inside the zipper case because the missing plastic section was not found loose inside the sealed zipper case, nor inside the shipping packaging. This is not a deal breaker as the rest of the kit was very nice, but I wanted to just mention it. The plastic connector holding case would have been perfect to keep around to refill since the zipper case has an elastic band spot to hold it into place. This issue was not worth asking for a replacement, but quality control might be something to just consider on future shipments. The next thing I didn't like were the connectors themselves. When pushing them onto the stripped cabling the center metal tube inside the connector pushed out towards the connection end of the connector. I've never seen this happen before in my years of doing this professionally. I was able to use the crimper to force it back down inside, but I'm not sure if that's a defect or jut how this brand works. Normally the white plastic ring around the copper wire core, pushes up inside that tube and becomes flush with the inside of the twist on section of the connector. However instead twice now the cable wouldn't accept the plastic up inside the tube and instead pushed against it and made it pop out. This is difficult to explain, and I was shocked that it even happened. All in all the rest of the kit is perfect if you are looking into doing your own cabling. I bought these tools so I'd have my own set, as I previously would just borrow the use of my work tools on small personal jobs. This kit comes will everything you need. I needed it specifically for making RG6 cables, as that's what's typically used in TV and Cable modem hookups. I wish it would have come with a straight screw driver along with the Philips head screw driver it does come with, but that's not a big deal. It's just that a straight head screw driver would help take off outlet covers, as mine are all straight headed screws. I also preferred using my own wire cutters to cut the cables to length, it just seemed easier to use in my situation.I would recommend this kit to anyone starting out. Given the cost of the connectors alone in local retail stores, you practically get all the tool needs for free. Its also nice to have the zipper case to keep everything all together right where you need them.
