For vegetarian Indian food
Since meat has gotten so expensive, I am trying to eat more vegetarian food, and Indian flavors make dal more tasty. These do tend to fall apart if cooked too long, other types of dal stay more intact.

Good Soup Recipe
Turkish Ezo Gelin Soup2 c lentils2 carrots2 onions2 potatoes2 boullion cubesolive oildried mintchili powderFry onions in a bit of olive oil. Add chopped carrots and potatoes. Cook a few minutes then add the chili powder and lentils. Add enough boiling water to fill the pot. Add the boullion cubes. Cook until thick. Blend until smooth. Add a generous 3 T of dried mint. Enjoy with a side of plain white yogurt.

Good quality: LENTILS ARE LIFE
Really nice quality lentils. This is a great value. Especially since all my local markets are out of red lentils. They taste great. Very happy with this purchase & will continue to order.
