Contacting me before product shipped.b. Following up after product shippedc. Attempting to identify problem I encountered.d. They are shipping me a replacement.Hopefully replacement will work.2014-12-15Received replacement. The Logitech mouse wireless receiver works in windows 8.1 update.Changed review to 5 stars.Highly recommend...Only negative is it's difficult to insert and remove usb connections to hub.---------------------------------------------HistoryThis product seems to have worked for everyone else; however, it's not working for me.Looks like I'm the first person to give a 1 start rating. It's a disappointment that it appears to have worked for everyone else who has tried it, but it's not working for me.I have a new laptop Dell XPS 15 9530 Running Windows 8.1 Update. This laptop has powered USB3 ports. When I insert or remove the Hub I can hear the typical sound when USB device is recognized or removed. However, whenever I insert or remove a USB device into the hub I don't hear any sounds acknowledging the USB device and the item doesn't workCase #1:1. have Logitech Mouse ( M560 ) and Keyboard ( K400R ).2. they both work when plugged directly in USB2 or 3 port on laptop3. neither works when plugged into the hub4. insert Hub, hear sound that it's recognized.5. insert either or both Mouse wireless Unifying USB receivers into hub, hear nothing.6. mouse nor Keyboard works.Case #2:Took awhile to get following working. It wasn't plug and play.Inserted drives multiple times.Rebooted laptop with hub inserted. Then drives started showing up in hub.1. Hub works with 2TB USB3 Seagate portable drive2. Hub works with 2TB USB3 Western Digital portable drive3. Insert Seagate in port 3 on Hub4. Insert WD in port 4 on Hub5. Copy file from Seagate Port 3 to WD in port 46. Get 80MB/s write speedFor some reason the Logitech wireless receivers do not work when plugged into the USB3 hub.I purchased this hub to be used with the Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. The fact that it works with the drives is good so I'll keep the hub, but I'm keeping 1 star because it doesn't work for the purpose it was purchased.Doesn't matter if there is an issue with Logitech wireless USB2 wireless receivers... The receivers both work in laptop and should work in any USB hub / device.I'm going to search web and if Logitech says they don't work in hub, then I will change rating to 5 stars...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Response from Vendor few minutes after post above...Hey,Really sorry to hear that the product is not working properly. Please return it for a full refund. I will also send you out a replacement free off charge to make up for the inconvenience.Yes, unfortunately you are my first 1 star review but I hope I can make it up to you.Regards,Electrical Kings~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My response:The hub works. The Logitech Unity USB don't work in the Hub. I suspect it's more an issue with the Logitech Unity devices than it is with the hub. If you want to help me, please go and purchase a Logitech Wireless Mouse M560 from local retailer ( for speed & convenience ). They cost between, $15-$39... Try it and let me know your results. You can always return the mouse afterwards for full refund. I'm going to keep hub. It's a good piece of hardware. Nice design and compact. But please try with Logitech wireless mouse M560 on your end. If it doesn't work then at least we know hubs behave consistently and there's no need to send me replacement. If it works on your end then we can discuss further to see what differences are and or send me replacement if mouse works in several of your hubs. You're and honest man / company. I'd like to get hub working if possible. Thanks for quick responses and follow through.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I suspect issue is with Logitech Unifying USB devices.Hopefully we can resolve this issue as I'd like to be able to insertboth Logitech Unifying USB wireless receivers into the hub to saveports on my laptop.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~2014-12-3Electric King,If you perform tests I mention above and it still doesn't work, then you may want to contact Logitech and / or send them one of your hubs so they can test your hubs with their Unity USB wireless receivers.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~2014-12-4Confirmed I can read USB flash / thumb drives from Hub.Confirmed I can charge USB devices that are plugged into Hub.I'll create an Ubuntu 14.04 USB bootable thumb drive and see if I can boot from with USB thumb drive plugged into the hub. If that works, then I'll change rating to 5 stars and make note that there is an issue with Logitech Wireless USB Mouse ( M560 ) & Keyboard ( K400r ) receivers.Sincerely hope vendor is testing the receivers in parallel and working with Logitech to resolve issue.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Finally, from 1 to 4 ports!
I ordered 2, for Macbook Air 11" and 13". They arrived quickly and it's plug and play alright. Each has 4 ports and at the moment, I have the printer, mouse and my flash drive plugged in and all work perfectly. The only thing I'm not sure about, although I always leave my laptop plugged on the wall, is if the tiny blue led power indicator light drains the laptop's battery eventually and how fast. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the product. The other one is being used my son who is in college and always on the go. I will wait about a month to give update on how his works since he's going to be handling it differently (laptop in book bag and plugging and ejecting hub constantly).

Fairly solid β¦
The product is fairly solid. It took an effort to plug in the USB cords which makes for a bit of effort to disconnect them. The wire connecting from the Hub to the computer is very heavy and solid feeling. So much so that it won't lie flat if you don't bend the wire - but you don't need to do it and it's not a big deal. It works and it is compact which is why I bought it.

Arrived quickly, works great. The power light stays on even when you turn off the computer when it's connected. If you unplug it, and plug it back in to the computer, the light doesn't go back on. No big deal, but at first I thought it was drawing power when the computer was off. It's nice and small, perfect for my ASUS T100 which I love :-)

Does not come with a power cord.
This was a good hub, but, if you want it to be powered, good luck finding the right power cord for it since IT DOES NOT COME WITH ONE. I returned it for another one that came with the power cord.To be clear, I wanted a powered hub for a very specific purpose. The power cord is not necessary, but for what I wanted to do, I needed the power cord.Otherwise, it worked great, no complaints.

I works, BUT...
I've had some issues with the item. It functions fine, except the wire has to be at a certain angle, or it doesn't work at all. If I "prop" up the wire, it works, but if it moves the light goes out. This is a hassle, but I needed something quickly. I'll most likely replace it with one that doesn't behave this way.

build quality is solid
Bought this product for my laptop which has under powered usb ports. So after I purchase a A/C adapter I will determine this devices functionality in that regard. But thus far build quality is solid, usb plugs fit snugly into the jacks on the hub.

No problems
This is working very well. I have had it for about a month and a half and wonder how I have managed without it on my MacBook Air. It is great having the extra ports and I have had no speed or other problems with the multitude of items I have attached (iphone and ipad, and micro USB chargers and external DVD and hard drives). I would buy it again.
