Clear picture great night recording.
Great camera, replacing one just like it. Only good for 1 Texas summer, melted so bad the buttons no longer work, still running but melted and badly warped.

FINALLY there's a pretty decent choice for people wanting dash cams in their vehicles without breaking the bank! One of the reasons why the dash-cam market in the U.S. probably hasn't taken off more is the price point. You either have crazy expensive units on one side, or really cheap units that seem like toys on the other.Being an early adopter I've been through my fair share of models and I think this one hits a sweet spot for the price/performance.The nice thing about this product is that it allows you to add things like GPS functionality or a 2nd channel (for the rear) à la carte later. That's pretty nice which makes the base unit affordable. And not everyone cares for GPS or needs a 2nd channel right away. The video quality during the day is pretty nice. When a company claims things like Wide Dynamic Range or a Sony sensor I really am skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. The night time is still better than other units I've seen for considerably more.Installation was pretty easy, but that could be subjective. It would be great if the unit had Wi-Fi or an app that let's you see what the camera is seeing (like a Go-Pro) but you have to position it to the best of your ability, then check the recording on the microSD card to see what the viewing angle looks like. This isn't too bad if you have a laptop with a card reader handy with you in the car. I suppose not having Wi-Fi keeps down the cost and also is one less thing that could break or go wrong. Once you have it set, you pretty much forget it anyway. There are a few LED's for indicators which get the job done, and the unit status alert through a voice was informative enough.Overall I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unit that can record in really good quality, has upgrade options, and that won't break the bank.
