I've purchased other units like this that don't work well or are undependable, but this unit works great and is very simple. I'm using it to plug two computers into one monitor. I just push button "A" to view one computer or button "B" to view the other computer.

Given the percentage of 1-stars for this (19%), I was a bit hesitant to buy one. But so far -- 8 months -- it has worked just fine. I use it infrequently (weekly maybe) to switch between two old PCs, a Win10 and a Linux, mostly just playing around. It has not yet failed, or caused any electrical problems.I would further note that my monitor also has an HDMI input, which I use to connect to my security monitor box. In that case, I use the DVI box such that neither is selected (both buttons up), then plug in the HDMI cable, and the monitor displays the security cameras.So there are multiple connections and disconnections -- though not a lot over time -- and all seems to be working fine. I would suggest that the silk-screening is backwards -- the ports should be to the rear, the indications up front. But for $17, I can't complain.

I was sceptical when ordering the switch, but it does exactly what is advertised: switches between two outputs. I have two PCs and 3 screens, and now I can pick which PC will have 2 screens, and I can change between them with a press of a button. No more messing with DVI cables. Excellent product!

I love this switch box. I have the option of changing input on my monitor but this box make it so much faster to change from 1 computer to the other with just a press of a button. Great if you want share 1 monitor between to computers? Work as advertised, durability is still remain to be seen as I just use it for a couple days.

I am using the switch to connect two computers to one monitor. Material quality only 4 stars because the product is plastic and feels lightweight. Good device though for the price. I would have no problem ordering another one.

I bought this to flip back and forth between a Mac Pro and a PC with 1 monitor. The idea was right, but soon, it began to damage my Mac's video card. I thought disconnecting it would fix the problem, but I ended up having to buy and install a new video card for my mac.Later on, I tried to do the same with my work (Dell) laptop and my PC. But again, it didn't work. Instead, it mirrored my laptop screen (even with the settings set for extending). I ended up throwing it out.

It works as expected, pressing the buttons switches which input outputs to the display.When you select input B, input A will not show up on the computer it's connected to, which I think is a good thing because windows won't appear on the screen that's not "on".My only problem is with my 144hz monitor. If i try to push the refresh rate up to 144, I'll get an extremely narrow image with the monitor displaying "incorrect cable, connect dual link DVI cable", which appears at every refresh rate above 60hz.TL;DRas long as you're using 1080p 60hz or lower, it'll work fine. higher refresh rates at 1080p doens't work.

Had to connect wife’s laptop to pc monitor to use as a double screen. Easy to setup and use,picture is great. No issues.
