This is an amazing stencil. It arrived even sooner than I'd anticipated, and it was better quality than I'd imagined. This stencil was absolutely perfect for my compass dining room table. For my project, I only used white paint, a pouncer brush, and some tape. It turned out wonderfully! With my 25" X 25" I'd have definitely benefited from some stencil adhesive, but even without it, it was simple and easy. I already plan on reusing it for some canvas paintings!

The imperfections shown are due to my technique not the stencil. The 15”x15” stencil I purchased could not have been better. Looking for another place to use it!

The stencil came so quickly and as soon as it arrived, we wanted to apply it. I noticed a lot of reviews feature actual paint application, but I used a frosted glass spray paint for this project. There are some fuzzy lines and one part where the paint bled underneath the stencil, but I blame that on my rushed application. Overall, for someone who has never used a stencil before, I’m pleased with this product and love the classy design. It definitely helped give some character to our outdoor patio table. And if you are also planning on using spray paint, just take your time and make sure your coverage is even.

I like how this stencil can be washed off for reuse. It does not adher to the object you're painting & I did find that I had to dab the paint brush bc when I used brush strokes the paint smeared under the edges of the stencil. There may be an adhesive spray out there that would solve that problem. However, for what I wanted to do, the dabbing technique was perfect. I did tape the four edges to the pot I was painting to make sure the stencil didn't move as I was dabbing the paint on, which was very helpful. I will definitely look for stencils from this company again.

I love the different size options. I had a panel on a beveled cabinet door that was 9" x 11". The 12" x 12" pattern fit great. The star is 8 1/4" across, from point to point. I masked off the outer ring of dots, and the directional letters. I also masked off the inner circle stripes, as I thought they detracted from the old world feel. I used makeup sponges with very little paint on them, and sponged on four really light coats. There was still bleeding, but a little touch up took care of that. I then went in and free-handed the 4 major directional letters on the bevel. Love this compass pattern! And the chipboard shipping envelope is perfect for storing.

This stencil is an excellent choice for coastal or lake decorating. It was easy to use with crisp edges and ample thickness of the plastic. I highly recommend this stencil for those who want to DIY. We chalk painted a round oak table and then stenciled the compass. We had rave reviews from our neighbors and friends.

I liked that this served as a guide for colored pencils, as stencils are wont to do. I would probably wish that it was a wee bit thicker, but that's a personal thing and with the use of clips it will hold quite well onto whatever you might want to use. I may use this on another project, but with oils and glitter under a blacklight, just to see what happens.
